    DD Script

Big question is there much useful that can be ran from within a container to deduce performance baseline whatsoever? The disk lust in the low end is notorious. I'd ran the pedestrian things aforementioned and still do... usually when I see laggy or just off nodes... Time for some of us (not...

    vePortal security alert

vePortal has known about the flaws for six months now and hasn't taken any real steps into getting them resolved. There are so many flaws in the product that we actually stopped doing any further testing because it was just pointless. Given the current state of BurstNET, the odds of vePortal...

I thought this thread was going to be about that $5 annual VPS... I came, I read and all I got was this ugly pink shirt.

    Work form home? Simple enough

I avoid Winblows, too drafty for my liking.  Windows is like a portal.  If there is another dimension, entering it to reach hell surely must involve going through Windows. Been chilling lately with this x2go which is peachy.  Can't get the audio part figured out, but hey it's all Linux...

    Work form home? Simple enough

I have one word for the work at home group: KIDS. I ahh, like offices, sort of.  Escape from home, interact with adults... Most of us wash our hinds, put on fresh clothes, freshen up... I'd probably be horrified stopping by to visit most of you work at homers.

Preferred Payment Method other than Credit Card and Paypal?

Cash, non sequentially issued bills... in envelope. Bitcoin seems to be growing in popularity for a segment out there. Asian buyers use different payment stuff.

    Tranquil Hosting launches RockVPS

Great a low-end, low price, addiction focused VPS provider called RockVPS :) That's it I am buying crack and dope VPS for all the addiction marketing. Oh I do kid, but that's what came to my crooked mind. Is this a new panel you cooked up?  Tell us more about RockVPS, where the services are...

    Gauging interest in new feature.

I like the idea KuJoe. Ideally you extend it to migrate from one server to another in your location too... It happens, and I hate when it does that I end up on a busy node and sit there suffering.   Self-help to migrate to another server = great. Downtime during the migration, right?

Burstnet Technologies Inc. aka Burstnet lies, rips off landlord, refused to move out of Dunmore Data

No doubt @DomainBop.   Mediocre.  I tried them ONCE.   Was in their short-lived UK location.   Was very bad. Around here, 1996,  that was ahh 18 years ago.   Many folks here and in other communities weren't old enough to remember that year.  Heck good swath of folks probably weren't even born...

Burstnet Technologies Inc. aka Burstnet lies, rips off landlord, refused to move out of Dunmore Data

Shame Mr. Duke, as Arcus leaving inevitably includes his brother.  It officially ends Burst.net and one of the old pillars of the industry. Now Burst is just going to be some odd asset of some money group.

Hey forgot to attach some poll.  Says so at bottom of his post :) These sort of McFatAss offers make me cringe.  6GB of RAM for $6 a month. Oy! I know OpenVZ is McOversellable, magic...  Can I buy this at $6 on KVM, please? "OpenVZ Visualization" <-- you said that in ad.

Burstnet Technologies Inc. aka Burstnet lies, rips off landlord, refused to move out of Dunmore Data

Shame @XFS_Duke. I see tons of too recent documents bearing Shawn's name as well as other family members. I would say Shawn is being pushed out. Burst therefore has burst and this spells most certainly an end to them.

Burstnet Technologies Inc. aka Burstnet lies, rips off landlord, refused to move out of Dunmore Data

From the WHIR the other day: http://www.thewhir.com/web-hosting-news/burstnet-sued-making-equipment-lease-payments-court-documents "Some have speculated in industry forums [link to vpsBoard prior thread] that BurstNET is moving its business to avoid creditors, a notion that Ray said is...
