Multiple offers in less then 7 days

So another little problem.... House rules: "Company must have valid WhoIs information publicly available and can not have private WhoIs enabled." Whois for fliphost.net is private via privatewhois.net

Multiple offers in less then 7 days

Do the rules apply to offers of any kind?  Then yeah 5 offers for same company. If not, other issue is Cloudshards owns Fliphost.  Both of them posted VPS offers....

ColoCrossing, Quick to Get Large IP Blocks Issued and Faster to Soil Them

And what is disturbing about the Cisco data is that who else appears up in the top 100 Spam Senders  by Network for past day? #10 is ENZU.... If I recall properly they were on the list that good professor from Carnegie Mellon put out of the top IPv4 free pool recipients during the past...

ColoCrossing, Quick to Get Large IP Blocks Issued and Faster to Soil Them

Colocrossing aka Velocity Servers is doing real good today. 12 new Spamhaus entries today alone...  Bunch of them are straight from IPs under ChicagoVPS' control.   You would think by now these folks would have proper monitoring and throttle email...  I know I am expecting too much, as that...

DigitalOcean vs Vultr - The Asian Face-off

Interesting comparison outside of the US.  Thanks for it. Care to post some traceroutes to common Asian locations from each?  So we can see wonky routing and where each maybe excels and fails?

Raspberry Pi alternatives? What do you guys think?

I'm surprised by the seeming lack of quad-core boards like these at this point.  Phones have been packing such. Lack of proper disk interfaces is unappealing also. CubieTruck is interesting but price point is rather high.

ColoCrossing, Quick to Get Large IP Blocks Issued and Faster to Soil Them

The solution to that?  Get another big allocation. I won't even touch moderation over there on those sites.   Calling folks running things there corrupt would be a nice label.

But, but, but... you were nicer yet... You didn't mention that ChicagoVPS their upstream is ALSO BANNED from WHT.

Choopa sends out Vultr to drown in the DigitalOcean

Nice to see Vultr rolling out some storage offers...  Long been a fan of this storage need and the market for raw usable storage isn't well developed, still.

Raspberry Pi alternatives? What do you guys think?

My Pi is taxed.   Runs the VPN... Runs Squid... Runs some other proxy and filtering inline. Overall, the throughput straight remote network is lacking and CPU ceiling and above gets hits quick and hard.  Definitely in the market for something with more oomph and ability to push bits faster with...

BlueVM and the great labor rights of exploiting labor

Ahh so you are a volunteer too Mun?  Did you sign the NDA and get to wear the robe?  I ahh, missed / overlooked your comment. :( I swear I've seen you elsewhere claiming you weren't involved in BlueVM.... It was in an IRC chat from BlueVM actually with a disgruntled customer that heavily...

BlueVM and the great labor rights of exploiting labor

You think he pays full income tax on that money, hahaha!  No he doesn't.... He doesn't sit in his bracket of pay vs. bracket... He gets to bracketing way after the deductions and structuring, like way way way after.

    ServerCrate compromised

Poor Solus, always getting blamed. It's like the new DDoS excuse for providers. Could be true though :)   Surely they had compromises in the past.  It is software after all and a piece that every lowend* e-hoodlum sitting in mom's basement drolls about exploiting.   My question is:  What was...

    Any unique web hosts?

See FAST CPU and disk are really more beneficial for the hosting company than end user. You can't mass sell slow.  Even lowend companies realize this simple fact on the hardware side.  Their sites reflect this with wild claims about RAID-10, SSD, gobs of RAM, premium networks, etc.   Even if...
