So I have a pile of files and within those are various IPs (among all sorts of other data) Goal is to extract those IPs into a new single IP-only file from all the various files. Someone have a shell script magic to accomplish such a thing?

planning a free failover dns hosting (Budgetgeek Telecoms dns)

Guess I should note that vast majority of reflection attacks ARE NOT DNS, but are NTP.

planning a free failover dns hosting (Budgetgeek Telecoms dns)

25 dns queries per minute(to help stop ddos attacks).... That's oddly sLOW. On one project I get over 500 DNS lookups a minute.   That's not even high.

    Related to Encryption

In theory, something secure would work like this.... Key offsite on terminal of admin. Some programmatic access to that remote info via browser. Key umm version crypted in RAM only. Hazard here is the server reboots/restarts loses key and requires rekeying. Alternatively, key accomplished...

    Dacentec RTO --- billing issues?

I am AMAZED @KuJoe that your CommercialMedia server continues to be reliable, considering their other mass umm, shortcomings. The RTO program with Dacentec is a little off.   Definitely fine when/where you are hyper aggressive and on them, otherwise riding the big payment like a dumbo sort of...

    Deep freeze

Two things here come to mind: 1. Solar - sun activity has been very low to none recently.   NOAA put out a coronal mass ejection warning for today and tomorrow.  Meaning the behavior of the sun is about to CME launch directly at the earth.   Big enough = horrible outcome on electronics and...

    Request: Failover DNS account

dnsmadeeasy.com Very good company in dnsmadeeasy.  Very reliable, works well, admin at last check was easy to use.  Low end price is like $29/year which can't be beat.  Anycast. dns4pro @blergh,  who is behind this project?  I keep bumping into it, but the details are really lacking for paid...

    Dacentec RTO --- billing issues?

Thanks @dacentec for spending time and clarifying.   Your RTO offers are a stand out in the industry still.  Hoping to see more with newer processors, more RAM and more drives :)  (not necessarily all of those in one package). Dacentec became mighty interesting again, to me, with the recent...

WHMCS Module looking for beta testers - Crypty / Privcee

So, for matter of clarification here... "Using a key you assign yourself(in configuration file)" If, the server was compromised and the that config file was swiped, what would prevent decryption of everything?

Hardware Porn (aka our new backups node)

I use velcro.  Sticky on one side 'cro on the other... matching piece goes on whatever...  It's able to be separated with a little oomph... Better than tape to tape in my opinion....

    Dacentec RTO --- billing issues?

So... in their wiki: Not clear there and in materials if truly they cover everything top to bottom if people continue to extend that odd RTO beyond the RTO term. ^--- this made me laugh

Hardware Porn (aka our new backups node)

So, 3 SSDs + 1 spinning disk Rambo mounted style then 24 drives in the real bays? Real clean and tight installation. "namely the single SATA plug each instead of an expander connector" Why did you opt for a controller that required the per channel cable instead of the expander connector?

    Dacentec RTO --- billing issues?

Thanks for the quick response :)  Wasn't expecting to see Dacentec here and first to comment. Seems like some notice to customers when the term is ending would be the right/kind/nice thing to do...

    Dacentec RTO --- billing issues?

Anyone else here have / had a Dacentec RTO that reached 12 month maturity/payoff?  Does Dacentec auto adjust the monthly rate or do you have to do a dance with them? Know someone with one and has been over paying for past 2 months - at same RTO rate.
