    Email services - your opinion?

I care / give shit.  Mooonure... I still am sitting on sidelines about email.   Certainly as-is, is busted.   Frankly, email needs a massive overhaul.   We need P2P email or just build upon chat type technologies. Putting email abroad means certainly the NSA is sniffing your stuff on...

Stripe, get a clue. Your chargeback system sucks

Well tit-for-tat... I deal nearly solely with companies that DO ACCEPT PAYPAL. Last thing I want is my debit/credit card info floating around come next hack of a data provider or that cute boutique web store. Mind you, I hate PayPal probably more than most, but hard to argue about it's...

If you weren't working in this industry, what would you rather be doing?

Pre-growing season here in the northern hemisphere we'll have a group growing thread.   There are a few us with serious garden/growing issues :)

If you weren't working in this industry, what would you rather be doing?

Tell that to my postman... I asked what was up with this weird barcode the postal service put inside my mailbox.  He said, oh don't worry about that, it's not for you. Who is it for?  It's to monitor him.   No joke.   They are installed inside random boxes along his route and needs to gun scan...

If you weren't working in this industry, what would you rather be doing?

I vote farmer.  Tough going these days unless niche, but never should go hungry.   ROI is often proportional to work ethic and strategic investment.   Plus is kind of a long haul commitment.

    iran vps?

If you must partake in law breaking: http://bgp.he.net/AS15351#_peers #3 and #4 would be two companies to inquire of. Throw these guys in there also: http://bgp.he.net/AS19084 and not to be forgotten: http://bgp.he.net/AS58262

    iran vps?

Only point of VPS in Iran for most folks is to break the embargo/violate laws. I've beat the horse on this many times.   At last check if you live in the US or EU or any country that bows thereto, you aren't allowed to take money from or give your money to Iranians. If you want to offer free...

    123systems dd on new node.

It's true folks... Slabbed server.    Folks slab them because of simultaneous process limits / related performance under OpenVZ.  Once you get to a certain several thousand process running total, OpenVZ slugs along, slowly.. Performance goes poof.  Slabbing gets around this with multiple...

BuyVM announces free backups for all 256MB+ OpenVZ plans!

Reserve a 250GB block in NJ in my name.  I am buying. As for the backup cost.  Geez, so you can actually buy something for a dime these days. Unsure how you guys pull it off.   Keep it up!

Crissic Solutions LLC - You Asked, We Delivered!

I find it troubling that they pulled Crissic's ad, but we see that vpsAce ad up there on LEB today.   That's a company that was hacked and crypto key stolen and with credit cards and other stuff free for picking from the dump.       Plus they just were posted as an offer in past month (plus...

    123systems dd on new node.

CONGRATULATIONS! You are the proud new owner of a 123Systems VPS. Your VPS is on a SLABBED server. This means, that E3 server has a base virtualization of (my guess) Xen.   Then within that, 123Systems has carved the server up into multiple OpenVZ instances.  So you are getting virtualization...

    ServerMania / B2Net / B2NetSolutions 8185 Sheridan Drive 14221 = Same as ColoCrossing's Address

I give Maarten a big thumbs up for the Ash situation and calling him out on it.  Ash is shameless and unrepentant about his flipping of companies.  Each to their own, legal yes, but morally, not so good/right for customers.   I buy from personalities, based on their personality, trustability...

    ServerMania / B2Net / B2NetSolutions 8185 Sheridan Drive 14221 = Same as ColoCrossing's Address

I haven't ran a recent total for their (B2Net/ServerMania) offers.  Think they are up around 15+ for the year. I can hear the excuses, that these companies aren't them, they just register the  WHMCS license.  Problem is there are layers of overlap and you've been busted lying points. Frankly...

Crissic Solutions LLC - You Asked, We Delivered!

Come on now, upgrading to new node makes good business sense.   If sales are slow due to such, just offer migration of existing customers to the new hardware :) I know LEB makes cash registers ring, but it's more hassle over there than anything these days.   I'd never spend 5 cents preparing...
