    Colocrossing IP charges

Less pain to boot CC's IPs and get another range ehh?   Porting them over from San Diego? Good time to develop relationship with providers who are responsive, have IPs and can do the network adjustments as needed.

^ cockblocking... Is that some fancy new network fiber technology.  ;)  Or is that how they deal with DDoS attacks? Seems clear to me that Colocrossing must not have any network person on staff.  Meaning they must be paying some network ninja to mass deal with customer needs. I am aware of a...

    Summer 2013 - 4GB No wait... 8GB?

There's no overselling if the node is empty :)   Not claiming that though, but it is nice when it happens, sad when it gets loaded.

    Syria madness

@Reece, a man after my own mind. It's true, your observations, here in the 'States also. Today there are literally 100 million people who depend on government food subsidies just to eat.  That's roughly  1-in-3 people by the Census headcount.  The roads are shot, the bridges collapsing.  ...

    Syria madness

"Surely anything is better than the Assad family" Meet your new rulers from the west. Which devil is worse, the one you know or the new one? It will be business as usual for the selective few, while the peasantry suffers. Why the US is so concerned with Syria and egging to deploy all its...

Webmail client to read multiple accounts at once

Remote desktop would accomplish that. :) Can't say I am a fan of that approach. Best approach likely is something like Roundcube, a common web based email client. Roundcube supports multiple IMAP accounts via one interface.

East coast or central US KVM with native IPv6 needed.

Not a whole lot to pick from.  Front Range may or may not have something in Atlanta. RamNode does KVM in Atlanta. NinjaHawk has KVM in NYC and elsewhere.  Catalyst offers in Dallas, unsure of upstreams. Results from our new search

    How to decipher everything

TrueCrypt is a wildcard since the developer(s) have been uber secretive. Unsure if it is a honeypot or not.

^--- oh we have a badass here.  :D About darn time matey. I went holiday shopping in the offers section for someones KVM request and presto, zippo results. Had been a nagging "complaint" of mine.  I recommended it, MannDude did all the work. Little bit of performance hit at the moment so...

Biggest, Cheapest VPS dumping to date?

I trust they have network management side down to clamp the abuse of spammers for instance. Seems like storage is node/server.  No SAN or other connector. This is what they say their nodes are going to be like. NODE1 - up to 200 accounts. Specifications: Supermicro H8QGi-F mainboard 4 x AMD...

Biggest, Cheapest VPS dumping to date?

I continue to be amazed at the apparent weakness in the market.   The best sign of weakness is folks jumping into the price wars or outdoing everyone else with unbelievably low give away prices. Swiftway, a well known dedicated server and colo company has lowered the bar beyond where anyone...

    How to decipher everything

Well, that's not true to some extent in the US. For a decade or better the US Postal service has been scanning every parcel and piece of mail.  All those images have been indexed and intelligence made of them. Has been used to mine for all sorts of clues about people. No, they don't open the...

    MYOPENID closing down

I am about 100% sick of the social media plague. Why anyone would trust their master login to those companies is a head scratcher.  Oh, it is easier and people are notoriously lazy and trust anyone. For that convenience, those companies are logging every page, on page activities, etc...

    Colocrossing IP charges

I am really concerned by the IP shortage and inevitable exploitation by providers. You look at IPs allocated to a company like this and masses of idle one and the recent issuances, it's clear they aren't going to lengths to get these based on actual need. Range of free to $1.00 an IP is way...
