    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

Backups are now included at no additional cost :) Users can find the option to restore/take their own backups under cPanel and then cpremote. We were looking at building our own setup but I really didn't feel like learning more PERL (or giving Aldryic a reason to code more PERL >_>) to write...

Thanks for the review :) The brocade has been awesome. I expect no issues to come from it minus in October when we'll have to do a short few minutes downtime so I can install an additional PDU & management card for redundancy. There will be an announcement that goes out in October when that...

Burst.net UK - Sold right? Why is UKFast Dropping BurstNet Customers?

Still? I thought it increased to 2048 with the new space IANA gave them. Maybe I'm thinking of APNIC? Francisco

    Freshmeat / Freecode goes dark

Freshmeat was a really cool site back in the day that kept updates of new postings & software that got released. It was a really useful way of finding new packages and such since sourceforges site was pretty terrible and there wasn't any real social media ways to brag about your new projects...

Did SEO / fake traffic gang get put offline?

When did Burstnet go dark? Given the sharp declines I wouldn't doubt Burst had a lot of traffic generators/alexa bots. A few years ago they had more than a few /20's and /19's listed for spam so it goes hand in hand. Francisco

    DMCA Talk at SlashDot.

See that's just it. You'd have no idea how many DMCA's we've been sent for movie/TV torrents, etc, for IP space that isn't even announced, never mind routed to a customer. I swear they simply shotgun at IP owners and hope at some point it'll work. We're very close to the point of requiring...

update on $1 per year vps idea (32MB Club)

Gotta fill the IP space somehow. I mean, CC's current strategy of selling to spammers isn't working out given their latest /16 listing: http://paste.ee/p/nkB9G http://paste.ee/p/gBjO6 Francisco

    DMCA Talk at SlashDot.

The DMCA gets abused so much that you really need to look into having your own IP space just so you can better manage them. For instance, Frantech was heavily targeted to gameservers (runescape, some Lineage 2, lots of Ragnarok Online, etc), we got no less than a dozen DMCA's a week that were...

Up Next: laaev, in other words, leave or left Velocity / Colocrossing / ChicagoVPS

Maybe he's going to college now? Then again, if he really enjoys this field I don't think college is going to do much for him besides burn his wallet. There's more than a few datacenters in California that could use techs with a presumably good understanding of virtulization. I have an idea...

    Burst.net circling the drain?

Nope, so. It looks like sharktech did them a favor to get everyone online but aren't the buyers. Hostwinds is offering to pick up all the users but they have to signup for new packages as far as I can tell. Francisco
