ARIN Stock Changes Feb 2014 - Down to 1.38

Yeah I don't know how they justified a /10. All I can think is that for such huge organizations, ARIN allows them to justify more than just 3 months of growth. That has to be like "We don't need IP space for the rest of our existence." I'm really happy to see that i'm wrong and that there...

    How you handle DDOS Customer

Right. We've been mouthed off because we don't provide free filtering as well. We've had more than a few tickets where a user is shocked that we won't eat their 1 1/2 million PPS syn flood at no cost. The problem with the handbreak solution you 'favor', is that if someone wants to keep...

Do embedded videos appear for you? Please check this out and let me know.

Looks like curtis changed the URL to src="//youtube instead of http:// or https:// It finally works for me again. I know there was more than a few times that I had to edit a post to give a link to a video because it wouldn't load. Francisco

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

CL has been a good addition :) I'm liking the PHP selector, saves people time instead of waiting on me to recompile PHP for random things. Francisco

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

Well. The equipment is fairly beefy so you'd have to try pretty damn hard to max it. Even with everything we've sold, migrated to us, etc, we rarely see much past a 1 load. With that being said, Single accounts would be suspended and then the reseller is informed. If it becomes a constant thing...

    Bandwidthd totally different than SolusVM?

This should work fine. Solus always had derpy accounting back when we used it. A VPS flooding in/out would cause their counters to roll over and the flood wouldn't get counted against the customer. There's been MANY stories of bw accounting failing in Solus and hosts getting dicked for 10's...

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

Of course. It's full cpanel, so whatever cpanel supports we do and then some via softaculous. We have Cloudlinux in place now so you have full SSH as well as the ability to control your PHP version. Francisco

ARIN about to make the routing table a whole lot fatter?

The brocade RX's are like that and the Cisco 65XX's are too unless you get the highest spec addon card. I know this is older gear, but it's still heavily used. Francisco

$200 if somebody can solve this IP problem.

Give me some sort of TCPDUMP access and a copy of the switch config in PM. If I figure it out you can just buy Manndude a pizza and we'll call it even :P Francisco

ARIN about to make the routing table a whole lot fatter?

So there's a proposal on ARIN's desk to allow the transferring/selling of < /24 allocations. Are we about to see a multi million entry routing table in the coming couple years? People with older switches that top at 512k routes are having a hard enough time as it is, but even > 1M route...

LET Q1 2014 Top Provider Poll Results

Not fraud, but purchasing certain parts because of specific features to tune DD's :P Anyway, this is fine. There's people that buy simply on the fact of certain benchmarks. They had a bad past with providers due to reason X, so they want to make sure X is never a concern. That's fine. This...

LET Q1 2014 Top Provider Poll Results

Freebies always win the hearts of the LE people. Vultr gave free 2x credit and people stocked up on it. Is the product worth it? I don't know, i've not tried it.   As I said somewhere else, Mr. Clarke gave a 50% discount on IP's, services, etc, and suddenly he had a multi page sales thread on...

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

A quick update for those still following. - Cloudlinux has been rolled out the current node and will be on all future nodes - Whitelabeling has been setup for both nameservers & the SSL service ports - Litespeed is still in use, but has been tuned to support the cloudlinux PHP version changer...

Dear Spamhaus, why can't you group providers right?

They're #1 right now. See, the bad part is that there's historical showing it hasn't improved at all. Infact it has increased 50% in the past 24 hours, if you take senderbase as truth. I dunno, you can scan over the RDNS entries they show and it's so obviously spam that you can tell that CC's...

    The cesspit / chat thread.

Oh did they improve it so it supports actual swap now? K. Yes, 'vswap' enabled VM's will use less since RAM is counted from the 'RES' size, not the 'VIRT' size. Francisco

    The cesspit / chat thread.

Well.... 'vswap' isn't popular in the OverSoldBox market. I'm fairly sure vswap doesn't like using actual swap, so they can't oversell like mad. The heavy oversells normally do only guaranteed RAM, since that'll get pushed off to swap if need be. Francisco

    The cesspit / chat thread.

Er, no, that's not how 'burst' RAM works >_> It doesn't magically ask the node side to allocate it more than suddenly it shows up in free -m, you're getting gamed. Tell them to assign you 256MB of vswap and be done with it. You 'can' do the old style burst RAM on .32's, but it's pretty...

Dear Spamhaus, why can't you group providers right?

RIPE is nothing like ARIN when it comes to allocations. There is no local state LIR's that provide local allocations, it's all ARIN. When IP's get spam'listed they usually get pushed to the direct subnet and if that doesn't work, to the LIR. If that fails, they will mark it to RIPE and you...
