ARIN Stock Changes Feb 2014 - Down to 1.38

I think it was a miscalculation to be honest. There wasn't enough space allocated out these past 2 weeks to justify it falling 0.04 - 0.05 like it did. Delete's are 'returns' I think or things like internal ARIN/RIR blocks getting put back to pool. Francisco

Process for checking IP ranges issued.

Hosts should do their own due diligence when it comes to picking datacenters anyway. - Are you finding plenty of that DC's IP's on stopforumspam ? - When you search "<datacenter name> spam" on google, does it come up with walls of links? - Are they know to be receptive about abuse on their...

    BuyVM OpenVZ 128MB (NY)

The NJ caches have been slowly starting to fail so we've had to kick them out which has been causing some of the IO spikes. If there was a long period of down it's likely a kernel panic + forced FSCK needed. It's also quite possible it was a leak on staminus that they didn't deal with. I know...

RIJX closing down, "late refund requests processed partly through sale of hardware"

Why else would they be getting a /20 to start then? I'm finding it hard to believe that they went the pricing they did, with 2 IP's included too, without ARIN being a reason. It's quite possible that she found out she couldn't apply for ARIN's being an AU business. Francisco

RIJX closing down, "late refund requests processed partly through sale of hardware"

To be fair, how many females have we seen in the budget market that weren't sketch/fake? Supposedly people have spoken to Jessica, though, and things were OK there. Francisco

RIJX closing down, "late refund requests processed partly through sale of hardware"

It was an IP grab, nothing more. They sold cheap to try to fill more space but it seems they got lazy/careless and didn't do much past their initial roll on LEB. They used L5520's and such so they aren't going to be getting any money back. I literally give those CPU's away because no one wants...

Gotta feel bad for Jon on this one. Then again, if he'd place proper ACL's on his edge he'd not be earning an Ecatel reputation. Francisco

I need a rackmount chasis custom built.

Normally they go to a sheet metal shop with a full CAD file and get it made, it won't be cheap. Are you needing it for 'very high drive capacity'? If so, backblaze has a custom chassis that holds a retarded amount of storage...

ARIN Stock Changes Feb 2014 - Down to 1.38

ASN's aren't going to run out so I wouldn't worry too much about that. You can get a new 4 byte ASN which allows an ASN up to ~4 billion entries. Granted, if you're peering with legacy gear that doesn't support this it could be an issue, but generally it shouldn't be an issue. Francisco

ARIN Stock Changes Feb 2014 - Down to 1.38

Honestly that's pretty small. They've got /16's a few times now, I figured they would've hit for a /15 or larger by now. Francisco

ARIN Stock Changes Feb 2014 - Down to 1.38

Likely. There has been a huge spike in IP demand from residential ISP's in the past few months. Frontiernet got a /15 the other day - http://whois.domaintools.com/45.53.255.255 They've been getting /15's every month or two infact. Francisco

You aren't the first I've heard say that. There's more than a few i've talked to that were pretty sure that regular Corporate membership postings would've done the same amount of business but were afraid to cancel their thread out of fear of being wrong and not having a way to get it again. Does the built-in option provide the ability for users to do restores? As well as keep full rotating backups. For $5/month it's good. We'll be shoving it back on our nodes once I get the storage drives installed. Francisco

Remember, WHT is a business and is going to push for the highest profit w/o pissing everyne off. Removing the quick posting privs. of the corp memberships would make no one bother buying it. If they changed it so non prem/corp people wouldn't be able to post all they'd lose is hosts that...
