[OpenVZ] Ploop, Fuse, ext4 improvements in new test kernel

All ploop does is slim provisions the DD. The faster your single core performance is, the higher the benchmark reports. Until you have a node crash, etc. FSCK still doesn't appear to be automated and there's already been many reports of FSCK not working properly, even with writebacks disabled...

Stallion 2 - pictures and daily updates :)

I'll go with 5 - 6 then :) I'll be working on the popup later today/tomorrow & will post pictures of it then. It'll be a simple modal, though, nothing crazy. Francisco

Anything past a /29 IP's in a row requires a SWIP. Given IP's are assigned randomly, though, that doesn't really apply. Francisco

So I'm thinking that I should add a 'Add anycast IPs' option into the panel where user can add a certain amount, to a cap, to themselves. The system would have to do an eligibility check (VM's in every location, don't have more than $cap, etc), but I think it'd be a lot nicer for people to work...

Nope. The page users see to manage their VPS is the same one us administrators use. There's a lot of validation & security checks in place to allow that. There is an 'admin' tab for things like upgrade/downgrade plans, add/remove IP addresses, etc. Everything else shares the same pages. It...

Default! Default! Default! Default! Default! For those interested, I updated the Stallion discussion thread with the UI upgrades we've done to support anycast & floating IP's. Francisco

Stallion 2 - pictures and daily updates :)

Since we're into the beta testing stage of the anycast/floating IP controls, I wanted to show how we've changed up the flow of the page. It isn't a complete overhaul, but it addresses some of the usability issues we had. To start: The new default page is fairly straight forward. A new table...

And now for some test IP's :) Filtered - 198.251.84.1 Unfiltered - 107.189.0.1 Filtering is done by Staminus and is brought in from NL. Latency difference should be nothing/next to nothing as the DC has multiple 10gbit runs there. I know, we're behind, & I'm sorry :( Francisco

Waiting to get one asps Actually yes :) Board came in (couldn't get it faster than 4 - 5 days delivery, could've sent it from the States faster). BGP is up, Staminus session is up, all but a couple nodes need installing. I'm just setting up things like the DHCP server, etc. Shared still has to...

Then that means you need to find a new datacenter that does their due diligence by you. The feds don't just have the badges to the datacenter floor to just walk off with gear. Every datacenter that wasn't run by a conartist that we've been with has always called us when there's a visit...

Then they knock. To date we've had a half dozen in-person visits from the RCMP, 4 visits to a DC and, & multiple talks with FBI agents. One chat got extremely heated since they were being unreasonable in their demands but they finally backed down and were far more co-operative. Up until it has...

I'll give him the 'young & dumb' benefit since the amount of complaints we hear these days is minimal and his companies keep on the right track. Francisco

You should really read the horror stories more often. You have more than a few on WHT where admins start to browse peoples data for reasons to boot them. The sz1 guy got busted going into someones container as well and was why the whole 'DDOS LE into the ground' war started. Francisco
