    Does your computer ever sleep?

My primary machine is a Laptop, although it chews a fair bit of power (for a laptop) when under heavy use (140-90W+) its extremely efficient with the screen off mostly idling <10-15W. It never sleeps, except when in transport.

    Bitpay

They take the highest value from reputable exchanges, given their volume of sales they can likely lodge an automated trade very quickly and have minimal risk of fluctuation. I would hazard that they make their money of large business / enterprise. And for small business off interest on money...

    BPF: A Bytecode for Filtering

What is BPF? BPF is an bytecode language for defining a filter to select interesting (or inversely non-interesting) packets. The language itself is extremely fast, and is usually executed in kernel without the need for superfluous copying or other wastage. What does it look like? What: List...

    Bitpay

@texteditor They do charge to large clients. They probably make a little on interest (especially on smaller clients where cash-out might only be every few months) as well.

    Bitpay

Its not really a comparison with fees, BitPay is free. Unless you want enterprise / large business features. Great for innovation in my opinion. On a side note, don't let the free level of support worry you. I was very impressed with the support I received. I contacted them to confirm that bank...

What are some uncommon and unique web-servers such as Cherokee and Hiawatha?

OpenResty is Agentzh's fork of nginx. With all his many modules included, quite a good API server as nginx + lua is amazing for tasks like that.

    Raspberry Pi 2

Can someone with a RPI2 perform a benchmark for me? Preferably on a lightweight distribution (such as Raspbian w/o Desktop). Its a bit of a nuisance, but I am interested to see the raw performance of the networking chip and how it compares to the RPI 1b. I suspect the problem with the RPI is bus...

Renting vs Owning Hardware: Things to Consider

A lot of companies do really good rental deals, yet by comparison quite expensive colocation pricing (often even more expensive than their bottom of the line rentals). Now I can guess a few reasons why, but it is definitely worth considering. Of course if you are buying more than 1U co-location...
