Finding a reasonably priced European dedi or large VPS with DDOS protection

Adding this: Online.net is running a special this morning (and it will probably be sold out within a few hours) but you won't find a better deal in Europe for a dedicated: https://console.online.net/en/order/server_limited Intel Xeon E3 1220, 16GB RAM, hardware RAID, choice of drives 2x2TB...

Finding a reasonably priced European dedi or large VPS with DDOS protection

If you know how to manage a server you won't have any problems. OVH's equipment is very good (i.e. very few hardware problems) and they actively monitor their servers and network so if there is a hardware or network problem you probably won't even need to open a ticket--in most cases by the time...

Spamhaus listing us for being listed and will not remove listings now?

To get yourself back in their good graces the next time you contact them you should tell them what you've done to prevent it from happening again, i.e. "We implemented xyz monitoring to detect/prevent botnets...", "We implemented xyz during registration to reduce the number of abusive clients...

VScale.io Russian Hourly Cloud VPS Review

Spamhaus listing us for being listed and will not remove listings now?

12 reports, including 2 escalations on that one /24 in the past 4 months is quite a bit, and even if Spamhaus removes that SBL a large percentage of your customer's emails are still going to be blocked in many places because the reputation of most of the IPs on that /24 is absolute shit at...

    Hetzner releases new VPS line

It must be the month for "distributed storage systems" at hosting giants to suffer major malfunctions.  Earlier this month it was Leaseweb NL with a 2-day outage for some of its VPS/cloud customers (including me), and now Hetzner having problems with its storage system.

    Hetzner releases new VPS line

Not recommended for production because support for their new VPS line is only available Mon-Fri during office hours. My VPS became unreachable about 1 hour ago, the control panel is showing it shut itself off, it's unbootable from the control panel.  The ticket I opened won't  get looked at...

CVPS spams with BlueVM customer list

Quote from Chris yesterday: My big question is why are 123systems customers included on that list when he sold them (and their info) to his BFF Jon last year (and Velocity Servers Inc and New Wave Netconnect LLC are completely separate companies as both Jon and Chris have told us many times)...
