Here's the thing - there is a possibility the VPS was compromised since I was not using a very secure root password. Perhaps that was the original problem. But I still don't think I did anything wrong esp. not illegal.

Would have been smart. Or got a server at Wholesale internet which is unmetered. But I wasn't about to sink $50 into something. I shouldn't have to pay $50 to use a $5 VPS.

I'll happily buy a hosting plan with the company that was hosting the speedtest server - that company does offer an unlimited bandwidth plan for $20.

My root password on that vps was dogememe. the irony!

I got a $5 100TB GVH server. I did a wget cron for a 2GB speedtest file, every minute. Got to 1.66TB before my VPS mysteriously stopped working. According to a support ticket it got compromised and was participating in a DDoS, however I highly doubt that. Now ticket replies are getting ignored...

I've never shot anybody and don't plan to. But the first thing I'm going to do when I'm 21 is get a gun. Not because I want to shoot people but for self defense. If somebody tries to mug me again or tries anything I can just make it obvious I have a weapon. I probably would not actually shoot...

I think the main problem with having the hosting providers (or "users") submit a form is you'd get a bunch of spam. But still, if ShoveHost got reviewed rather than not even being given a chance, it would be much fairer than currently.

Bacula would work not just only for cPanel but for OpenVZ nodes as well? Does it offer a way for people to restore their VPS? Would be too cool (don't get why SolusVM doesn't do this, really is a neccessary feature). Though I think it would mainly be useful for entire node RAID failures, or if...

cPremote is such a piece of crap, it sometimes works, but it's not consistent, has a horrible interface, it's buggy, support is useless, and I think we can do better. I found this: https://r1softlicenses.com/order It's about $8/mo/server, which is fantastic. If I could use that same software...

If i listed every app on my phone (Yes, I use all of them, all the ones I don't use have been Disabled or Uninstalled) we'd be here all day. I think Outlook.com app, Chrome app, Phone app, Messaging app, and Starbucks app are most used by me.
