    Favourite Web-dev IDE?

https://koding.com/ looked rather interesting - neat features but still in development http://c9.io would be in the same class as koding for a web-based IDE I have been using Sublime Text 3 and it is wonderfully simple as well as light enough to be an everyday text editor. Aptana studio 3 is...

Expectations in regards to ticket reply

I usually expect within 30 minutes during weekdays at normal operating hours for the companies locale. Otherwise, on weekends and nights I expect it to be replied to on Monday or at least the next morning.  It also depends on the scale though, if there is a major outage, I expect it to be...

    Mandrill - Anyone using it?

I've used it on a couple of projects, it works rather well - and the cost is relatively cheap once you get over your free limit. Sendgrid is an alternative, BlueVM uses them but I cannot comment on its stability as I've not personally used it.

    [VPSDime] - 6GB Memory / 30GB Space / 2TB Traffic / OpenVZ in Incero (Dallas, TX) for $7/month

During the beta, even with a load of "16,000" the service hummed along pretty good (somehow) Though the serverbear on the website is unlikely real life data as it was probably taken before the node had any customers on it. Otherwise, pretty good deal!

What do you use your Windows VPS for?

The only need I've had for a Windows VPS is for running speedtest.net and trolling my friends. As well as downloading MSDNAA ISO software (which requires windows to run the installer). I believe many people use it for SEO software as well as other random things.

    Adminer

Interesting, I'll have to give this a go next time I need to do some database work :) I normally just keep a phpmyadmin instance up somewhere with no config files and I just generate it as I need it. Of course with the general directory security, IP address whitelisting and random directory name.

Good to know... I was wondering what was up with that :)

What is the cheapest I can get a Windows VPS for?

I need a sports car to use Azure! :) I can recommend MaximumVPS it may not be the cheapest (not sure going rates for KVM) but its stable and Tim does a good job at keeping everything going. They recently got a network upgrade and its a bit faster now I find on my KVM512. No unplanned downtime...

What is the cheapest I can get a Windows VPS for?

Your best bet is checking the AD's area for the cheapest KVM 256/512 - expect to use your technet license (it needs to be for "testing"). Or wait for a KVM provider to give you a custom quote.

A VPS for each TV in USA

Oh! I was joking in the sense that the standard idea of "Television" does not actually exist as internet streaming. I didn't think of it in that way at all to be honest. I suppose thats what this whole thread is about? Pirated TV?

Anyone here using other than Google for search

I have been utilizing duckduckgo lately (fully aware of their privacy policies) as well as google when duckduckgo just does not cut it. Generally both search engines have about the same level of detail in their indexing and crawling - but Google has a better heuristic formulations in comparison...

    [Open Source] Offer listings software

Not bad, will it have an API where external users can poll your software for pricing data? This would be quite nice to integrate into VPSB instead of just dumping all the offers in a section off in the deep depths of the forum.Could bring quite a few more users to this forum as well as the...

A VPS for each TV in USA

I finally got around to setting up a VPS for my TV. I have never had a better TV watching experience. I get ~10,000 channels and I only have to pay 4$ a month and its only using like half of the 2GB of ram. Best idea ever @sonwebhost Now I have to start selling VPTV (Virtual Private Television).

    NodeServ Grand Opening!

Thanks for the kind words! Moving forward is always a priority, otherwise what else would we do with our time ;) Hopefully that can be one of the things we emphasize with NodeServ, goals and plans to make ourselves better - bringing the idea constant of self improvement to the table.
