    Should you encrypt your hard drive on a server

    So, why not just email your host all your data then? The only good reason to not configure an encrypted disk is if you need decently high I/O (if you're using HDD, the difference in speed will not be that great although CPU usage would be higher).

    Loop Back Interface?!?

    Well, here my configuration, took a long time to get it to work (not sure if it works properly actually, since I don't think server has been rebooted or had networking restarted after I edited it; it's working currently after some commands in command-line): iface eth0 inet static        ...

    Should you encrypt your hard drive on a server

    Naturally no, but can still dump RAM and such. I think since storage encryption is so easy nowadays there's no reason that you shouldn't do it (except for data which needs high IO).

    jake = perennate = CVPS_Kevin = Adam Ng = Lunanode?

    Yeah, I remember last night, was confused why people thought Jason was Stephen. But the PayPal email address was always @.org, jarland must've copied it wrong I guess.

    jake = perennate = CVPS_Kevin = Adam Ng = Lunanode?

    BTW I figured out why everyone thinks hbjlee17 @ LET is Stephen. They whois'd leedomain.com instead of leedomain.org!

    Is this poor customer service?

    Communication -- they don't seem to often update StatusPacket when there's a denial of service attack. So what's the point of having it? Agree with the responsive.

    Updates on SolusVM alternatives?

    Sure, but my point was that probably more applications than SolusVM are affected by failure of POST boundary to actually be a boundary between the arguments, which are passed as an array (this has since been fixed in curl). And for your second statement: setting password in VM doesn't...

    Updates on SolusVM alternatives?

    IMO that was issue with curl, who says your root password can't have a bunch of dashes and random letters that happen to contain the request boundary? Now SolusVM won't let you set your root password to, like, anything.
