Seagate Hybrid drives with SSD enhancement - using them? SSHD

I use an old 2.5 brother (momentus xt) in a nb. I don't have numbers, neither ran benchmarks, but that Nb starts faster than using a regular hdd. I will bet that with 8gb ssd it will work better than the one I have( only 4gb ssd) Don't forget you aren't going to see ssd like speeds/io. It...

Espressos are a different beast. If that maker isn't a low end one and has enough pressure keep it. I'm a bit biased because I love espresso and moka(http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moka_pot). I do like the "common" brewing method and French press too, but nothing beats a good espresso(or the...

Opening a business in another country

After seeing this great answer by domainbop: Does anyone know of services like that, but for registering in other countries, like US, Canada or even Zimbabwe? Have you used it? Are there any gotchas? Thanks in advance!

First, sorry to bump this old thread. About 1 week ago, maybe 2 weeks ago?, internet.bs finished publishing the whole list. So I created a little search page to try to find a couple of diamonds. If anyone is interested: https://domains.darwin.pw/domains Trying to give something back to this...

3 ssd disk array, what raid level can I use?

Sorry to bump my old thread, but I did a few experiments and I will answer my own question about md raid 10 with 3 disks: md raid 10 with 3 disk is meh. Didn't see any advantages, other than 50% more space than a 2 disk raid 1 (which I don't need). But speed wasn't great and only 1 disk can...

FTC Sues AT&T for Throttling Unlimited Data Customers Up to 90%

Don't know if it's my tinfoil hat, but I read that a lot different. AT&T is doing that for almost four years, FTC ignored and now, that a lot of customers have migrated to other plans, FTC "decides" to sue. AT&T and FTC will settle on terms that will sound like a major victory for FTC, while...

3 ssd disk array, what raid level can I use?

I was aiming at least 200 gb, but can live with 120gb with raid 1. So md raid 10 or 1e are just plain weird and sucks? Thanks, going to research a bit about ZFS Z1.
