How do you like your steak cooked?

    Bloody, but not cold.

    lightweight browsers?

Firefox, lightweight?  Not even close <_<  Maybe contemporary browsing on static pages with no interaction/flash/etc.. Midori is a real solid choice for lightweight.  I run that on my netbook whenever I feel the need for G.  Links/Links2 otherwise.

123systems - Issues and not responding to ticket.

You know how the CC kids are.  Make one of them cry, and the others have to come try to prove something XD  It's just too bad none of them can bring anything to the table that'd be worth giving my effort towards;  a challenge for once would do well to break up tonight's monotony.

123systems - Issues and not responding to ticket.

(I suppose I should clarify for those confused as to why I'd pick on Andrew... we hosted his company off our rack without seeing a dime for quite some time back in the days Fran still did charity work.  When it came time to start actually paying rent?  He racked up his tab and bolted.  Pony...

123systems - Issues and not responding to ticket.

My my, that touched a nerve, didn't it.  What does it tell us when someone flies into a rage instead of simply denying a claim? :3 After all this time, you still don't realize when someone's pulling your strings :P  And the best you can do is silly insults about my drinking (oh shock!), and try...

123systems - Issues and not responding to ticket.

That'd be because it's a one-person company that uses a bot auto-responder to create artificial fast replies to tickets.  Real solutions?  Good luck.  Just wait for the next "bills are overdue" sale, get the same plan for less, and learn to keep backups elsewhere. Or... find a professional host.

    Good resources for learning PHP?

Oh, I understood perfectly :3  Love the analogy though.

    Good resources for learning PHP?

Both paragraphs support my opinion rather than yours.  Early 5.x is long obsolete... k, so that just tells me it took even longer to fix glaring shortcomings and flaws. I misunderstand nothing.  However, if you are trying to posit PHP is an efficient/better tech, than pointing out that inferior...

    Paleo diet

Personally, I don't bother paying any heed to rage quitters.  Especially because they'll just be back within the week anyway.

    Good resources for learning PHP?

..some of those flaws were present in early 5.x.  That's not long obsolete.. and let's be honest.  Even if PHP did have some miraculous overhaul since PHP4, that's taking WAY too long to correct very blatant problems.

So, I guess we run a charity now.

I've gotten this one a few times.  Most of the ones that ask just end up confused when I ask them if they have bad knees, though.

    Good resources for learning PHP?

Umm.. sorry, but it kinda is.  I could likely fill several pages with problems I've come across with PHP (problems with the language itself, mind you);  but quite honestly so many people have done the same at this point that it's easier to reference existing lists.  Such as this one: ...

    > Mmm, but then I think of all those skids we won't be hosting now, and that more than makes up for it :P > Haha, nah.  He left of his own accord once he realized that no amount of half-ass argument was going to get him what he wanted.

So, I guess we run a charity now.

Had an interesting chat with some kid on IRC today.  Apparently his 'buddy' told him that we're some sort of charity, just giving away free service and DDoS Filtering.  Transcript at http://cboas.ru/strawman.txt and below:

    WHMCS Security Advisory

Hell, we have a small staff, and it's not the case with us, either.  I'm the only one with full WHMCS privs (Fran doesn't even have a login, although he and I are the only two with keys on that box).  Though granted, we don't bring anyone onboard as staff unless we're willing to put a LOT of...

IPv4 Shortage, Blame Idiots like ColoCrossing.

Evil is a funny description.  Cowards would've been my first choice, given how often they like to run their mouths and act tough.. and yet when they had the chance to say it to our faces, the only people that would meet us are two techs that cowed like we were just going to start taking swings...

    PCI Compliant Hosting

Well, I'd suggest trying again when you're older, then.  If this is your standard response to criticism, then you're going to be in for a nasty shock when you try to treat clients like that face-to-face.

    Site Downtime November 20, 2013

    1) It's Seattle 2) I trust the individuals, not just the brand name.  Just because you get great service at your local bank branch doesn't mean the service will be just as good at another city's branch.
