With WHMCS, the CC hash key is stored in configuration.php.  With all of the recent WHMCS exploits, it would've been trivial to see that file as plaintext, and use the key to reverse all of the stored CCs.

He's either US or CA.  I've done the same (currently residing in the US); except that I notified PayPal of what I was doing in advance.  They thanked me for the update, and kept me in the loop on how the case was handled.

Well, there have been an abnormal number of buyouts lately.  Some of the parties involved not very trustworthy to begin with, too... perhaps someone thought they could make an extra buck after selling their company by selling a backup of the DB with client info and CCs.

Regardless of how true any of these claims are, Kelvin needs a swift kick in the ass for bringing the short bus here.  We've gone for quite some time without this nonsense;  it was rather nice while it lasted.

For me, trust takes precedence over convenience.  There are very few providers I trusted enough to use OpenVZ with (pretty much just KuJoe and BigTim).  I still end up going with KVM in most cases, though.  I've never been a big fan of templates, prebuilds, etc... the "If it's worth doing"...

I'm with Martin on this one.  Without proper clarification, there's way too much uncertainty and ambiguity.  Why hasn't there been any more official information publicly released from 24k?

I've had a very similar pair for years (prior model), and absolutely loved them.  Honestly can't remember ever having problems with them.  Only downside is it takes a little while to get used to the feel of them against your neck.

I was referring more to the "provider" that thought it would be a good time to swoop in and try to make a few sales from the situation.
