Virtovo sold. Selling Colocrossing network now.

Why did you change the original "customer" in that sentence  to "employer" ? You conveniently sidestepped the issue of the virtovovinay ID (the same one that posted the pulled Virtovo offer today) recommending FTPiT on WHT.

Virtovo sold. Selling Colocrossing network now.

So did you acquire the domain so you could get around your WHT ban and post offers there? for reference, 2 of the suspended IDs: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/member.php?u=416492 http://www.webhostingtalk.com/member.php?u=445726 Also, do you make it a habit of creating new IDs and shilling...

Virtovo sold. Selling Colocrossing network now.

I mentioned this on the other thread and I'll mention it here again, there have been rumors floating around that "Susan" who appeared in December was Marc from ShardHost who hasn't been heard from since November.  If Virtovo would like to dispel these rumors... The registered company, Virtovo...

Virtovo - Closure of Vancouver Services

Based on the WHOIS info, It also seems they've been sold to an individual (not a company) named VINAY SINGH in India.  It would have been nice if "Susan Curtis" had informed existing customers (like moi... VPS in Vancouver running until July 19) of the change in ownership and the transfer of...

I only got 2 so I'm obviously not part of the special group. :( But it has paragraphs... For future reference, all written communications should have a maximum of 140 characters and contain at least 1 meme.

    Accessing web through VPS?

Not a 1-man show. 123-reg is a very large UK domain registrar owned by Host Europe Group (which is Europe's equivalent of an EIG.. .HostEurope was purchased by a private equity group last summer for US $671 million) //end thread hijack.

update on $1 per year vps idea (32MB Club)

I'll second that. Since your server is at BHS I'd suggest NYC latency-wise:  Iniz (15.1ms to BHS) or Ramnode (24.8ms to BHS).  Both are real hosting companies, inexpensive, reliable, and have fast support response times.   Mtwiscool doesn't seem to like Ponies so I won't mention the other...

    $1.79/Year VPS - 32MB - 1.5GB HDD

suggestion: change the location to Beauharnois, Quebec, Canada for accuracy and to avoid confusion (and the inevitable bitching from people like me who will scream: BHS is 39 km from Montreal!  Cologic and Peer 1 are in Montreal but OVH sure the f**k isn't)  :)  Other than that, the site is...

    Mothership1 $50 Promo

The IP assignment issue has been fixed. For the benchmark fans: Benchmarks after installation, pre -optimization: Benchmarks after network optimization, I/O optimization, and  changing the scheduler to noop, etc. (here's a handy link for anyone who doesn't know how to optimize network...

    Ban Request *Thoughts*

If their business performance/practices turn to absolute shit I'd vote for limiting their ability to post offers with a duration of greater than 1-month until they get their act together. textbook example of what I'm talking about (read the comments)

    Ban Request *Thoughts*

I think the average member of this community (or at least the active ones) has enough experience that they don't need to be protected from hosts who have trouble tying their shoelaces.  On the other hand, the inexperienced "ooh big RAM! Can't pass up this deal" crowd who snap up some of the...

Anyone have $50 million I can borrow?

59% of ColoCrossing's IPs are blacklisted by Spamhaus so the market value of those dirty IPs might be a little less than you'd get if you were trying to sell clean IPs

    CaliHop closing down

I was more shocked when people used Calihop for mission critical purposes (i.e. a San Diego "location" for their  VPS business) instead of using established dedicated players like Amerinoc and Cari.net (who I used from 2000-2008) than I am by Calihop closing.   Renting a dedicated server for...
