ChicagoVPS hacked SolusVM, Bypassed Licensing, and is Running Illegal Cracked Copies of Solus

It's  either ModulesGarden or something similar they hired a freelancer to do but as far as I know SolusVM is still in use in the background but customer access was removed. They definitely didn't have time to code their own CP because the initial WHMCS integration was done about 1 week after...

ChicagoVPS hacked SolusVM, Bypassed Licensing, and is Running Illegal Cracked Copies of Solus

. ChicagoVPS is the largest low end provider and their low end market share is over 50% (source: ) so they would be spending considerably more than $10 for licenses for their hundreds thousands of nodes.

Might wanna recompile or patch that OpenSSL, buddy (4/7/2014)

Debian Wheezy has issued 2 fixes in the past 24 hours so if you updated it last night you need to do it again. :( 1.0.1e-2+deb7u5 <--last night's upgrade 1.0.1e-2+deb7u6 <--today's upgrade (today's upgrade will restart some services but not all so you'll still need to check with lsof or reboot)

Might wanna recompile or patch that OpenSSL, buddy (4/7/2014)

I think that bears repeating. :)  Also, if you have an OpenVZ VPS, depending on the kernel version, that command may not give any output and so you may have to run just "lsof -n | grep ssl" and restart anything that uses SSL to be on the safe side (or you could just reboot...) On another note...

OpenBSD & OpenSSH need your help

Offering them colocation is out of the question but since frantech is a Canadian company they would be more than happy if you would put their electric bill on your company's books. :) http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech&m=138973077503723&w=2 <--tl;dr of the linked thread: Theo is still the...

    Cloudsleek.com – Offshore Hosting - 50% off on all plans! – The Netherlands/Dronten

The Netherlands might not have DMCA (which is a US law) but it does have BREIN, an anti-piracy group that regularly takes down websites hosted in the Netherlands that violate copyrights. tl;dr The Netherlands isn't even close to being offshore. My Latin is a little rusty so I'm having trouble...

Cheap dedicated server request | 2gb ram minimum

Watch Kimsufi for Core2Quads 17 euros (about $24) plus one-time 9.99 euro setup fee.  4GB RAM, advertised 2x500GB drives but the last 2 Q6700's I've picked up came with brand new 2X1TB SATA III drives. edited to add: the Core2Quads usually get listed in the morning and quickly sell out but new...

    ioncube vulnerability in loader wizard

I don't believe your bullshit story that the reason you suspended my VPS is because my WordPress got hacked and was being used in a DDoS attack! I've had those 50 plugins on my site for 6 years and I NEVER got hacked before I moved to your hosting company so it's obviously YOUR fault if I got...

tl;dr ARIN doesn't give a f**k if the info in their WHOIS database is invalid and you have a better chance of winning the lottery than you do getting them to act on a complaint about invalid contact/ownership data.
