    What providers do you use?

Ha.  I tried to make a spreadsheet of all of my VPSes. Every now and then I do have those "oh... forgot I had that VPS" moments.

Features you wish WHMCS would implement.

Personally, I'd probably just have Gangnam Style on repeat until they get annoyed.

Features you wish WHMCS would implement.

Haha yeah but honestly depending on the rate that they've been releasing the updates (and screwing up), I don't know if it'd work.

Features you wish WHMCS would implement.

Well, seeming they have auto ticket update up I'd love it when new tickets came in the title of the page would display the number of open tickets similar to how GMail has the number of new e-mails in their < title > tags.   That's always been one of the things that annoys me.  Yeah I get e-mail...

    Anyone using FraudRecord?

The logs are publicly available, but the client's name, e-mail, IPs, etc. are all hashed (so its a bit difficult to find a specific record without knowing the person's information first to being with).   The WHMCS plugin for it though is actually quite convenient to work with.

    Anyone using FraudRecord?

Well, we recently saw an event on LET where a provider posted the wrong FraudRecord on the wrong account, therefore prohibiting that user from purchasing a service with another provider (its been taken care of now).  Honestly it's a great tool but the way that it's setup allows for possibilities...

How do you make custom OpenVZ templates?

Honestly the best way (atleast for me) was to use the OpenVZ Wiki as the starting point.  http://wiki.openvz.org/Category:Templates For example, looking into CentOS 6, its just a few commands and then packaging it up.   Personally, I'd use a combination of the OpenVZ Wiki and the...

Whats the difference between a 'lowend' VPS and a 'highend' VPS?

I agree with your statement there.   I actually recently got a VPS from a provider that's considered "expensive" (256mb for $10/month), but the reason why I'm continuing to pay my bills for that container is because it's actually located in a great facility with great upstream/bandwidth...

What are you listening to right now?

Oh yeah bluegrass is also pretty damn good.  There are local bluegrass bands around here (Central PA) and they play some pretty awesome gigs.  Besides for that I also listen to a ton of ska.

    What providers do you use?

I've actually never used WiredTree or KnownHost although I've heard great things about KnownHost.  Would you be willing to write a review about one or both of them sometime and let us know how it is?  I'd be pretty interested in it.

    Introduction thread

Ok yeah the pictures paint a better... well... picture.  The Half Pipe also is an interesting addition haha.   looks awesome actually.  Although I will admit at first glance reminded me of the hobbit homes of Lord of the Rings (I bet you hear that a ton).

    Introduction thread

That actually is pretty awesome.  Unfortunately your pictures aren't showing up, but I'd love to actually look at one fully built!  How does it take care of the piping, wiring, etc. of a modern home?  Is it possible to create several stories (levels) using this method?   As a civil engineer...

Whats the difference between a 'lowend' VPS and a 'highend' VPS?

Well honestly it depends on what that provider's focusing on mostly.  Personally at Catalyst (I'm not trying to toot our own horn here), we try to focus on not only quality hardware but also quality bandwidth.  This means we look at the datacenter itself and look up their upstream providers...

    What providers do you use?

Well..  surprising I don't have too many Catalyst VPSes.  Only one I use on a daily basis for personal wiki and just my misc server. I use a Host Virtual Xen VPS (not really a LEB) as my VPN.  Great connection to my home area so basically becomes a no brainer for me.  In addition to that I have...

What are you listening to right now?

Erm... So...  I live with a bunch of rednecks, and they're some of my best friends. Lets just say, some of their country music taste has started getting into me.

Dude.  Jealous of your vacation, although technically I had my week off two weeks ago in Florida.  Also, could you expand on "alternative construction and design"?  Sounds pretty interesting but honestly I don't quite know exactly what it is.
