    NodeDeploy merges with Xavvo

I was merely regurgitating what Brad said on LET: "I'll still be around with ND and I'm not going anywhere."

Hmm, So we have bad language here?

I honestly have been trying to cut back on the amount of swearing I do (people on IRC can tell you how I've been failing miserably), although I've always tended to keep it out of forum posts. IMHO swear words have the strongest expressive power when they're used infrequently.

MR: Your interest in an Atom-powered dedicated server in Los Angeles?

Atom hardware doesn't depreciate as fast simply because new Atoms don't really perform any faster than older Atoms with the same number of real cores. Where they do change is things like DDR2->DDR3 and power consumption. OVH got themselves into trouble because new customers were paying a lot...

MR: Your interest in an Atom-powered dedicated server in Los Angeles?

I would be extremely interested, it'd be lovely to have a cheap dedi closer to home. Funny thing though, although I don't know why, that measly little $5 difference would make me a little less keen (it makes no sense since I'd probably pay the $5 for KVM access anyway). Humans are weird. The...

Expectations in regards to ticket reply

What. What kind of moron would volunteer for a business? And how could you trust someone who's not getting paid with your customers' personal information and private data?

Google Checkout ends November 20, 2013.

...if you only consider places where either Amazon has a presence or where Amazon will sell (and ship cheaply) to. Don't get me wrong, I use it sometimes when it's available as an option, but I doubt Chinese customers for example are going to have existing Amazon accounts (although they...

INIZ - Exclusive Offers for VPSBoard!

I find it very difficult to resist an ubercheap low memory VPS... and I'm already very happy with my existing big RAM plan from Iniz.

Searching for IRC channels of providers

The ones I know of not already mentioned: On freenode: #CrownCloud, #edisat, #iniz, #kgovps, #lfcvps, #rethinkvps. Those ones range from pretty quiet to dead. On irc.staticbox.net: #tortoiselabs. On irc.oftc.net: #linode. It moved to #ramnode on irc.netchat.io.

    Dedicated Server West Coast

I'm not a provider, but Versaweb's got a 12GB dual L5420 with a 500GB disk and 100mbit unmetered for $49, bumped to 24GB if you pay quarterly. It's Vegas, Cogent+HE bandwidth, probably overkill on the CPU and at the upper end of your price range, so probably not your first choice but something...

    Per customer /64's?

One thing about the per-customer-per-location /64 - it leaks information that a pair of IPv6 addresses on different VMs belong to the same customer. I'd imagine there'd be some customers who'd like to keep their projects separated (different/conflicting communities, targeting multiple niches...

Looking for a VPS that allows me to take snapshots easily

If you get a KVM, you can do it yourself by installing on a filesystem with native snapshots like zfs or btrfs, although it's more work than provider-managed snapshotting/backups.

Digital Ocean - IP4 in Amsterdam available again.

With some VC money behind them, I wonder if they're going to go looking for legacy space to buy.
