    SecureDragon VPS 1+ Year Review

That's good news.  Does it involve making some changes to the vps, or should it just start working?

    SecureDragon VPS 1+ Year Review

Hulu started blocking all 4 of my securedragon IP addresses today (2 in Denver, plus Los Angeles and Florida) -- both the older 198.57. addresses and the newer 162.211. addresses. So that's kind of sad.  The servers themselves are still running well, though.

    Domain Registrars?

I've been using internet.bs for a long time now.  Renewals for .com are $9.38. Verisign gets the bulk of it ($7.85).  And I think the ICANN fee is still $0.18.  That would make the wholesale cost $8.03 for a profit of $1.35.  I think there are various annual fees they pay, too, though, and of...

No more free accounts from DynDNS

Did you hear that dyndns is stopping the free accounts? http://dyn.com/blog/why-we-decided-to-stop-offering-free-accounts/ Awhile back they added the requirement to login every 30 days to keep the free account active, but now it's going away altogether. I just switched my stuff to a free...

What cool and useful things would you do with your Windows VPS?

In the past I've tried to come up with ideas about what I could do with a windows vps, but haven't really found anything interesting. I suppose you could load virtualbox on it, and run centos or some other linux from virtualbox. And I'm not anti-windows.  I use it on my home pc.  Just not that...

    Review of BudgetVM

What location is your vps at?  I used to have a budgetvm in Los Angeles, and there were constant network problems.

When I try the tests on drgn.biz, I just get the animated blue bars and nothing ever returns.  Tried with both Firefox & IE.  Is it just me?

Need an OS recommendation for children.

I had linux on my son's computer when he was younger for a long time.  As he got older, he kept asking and wishing for windows, so he could play the games he wanted to play.  So eventually we switched back to windows.

The new looking glass is really nice, too: https://my.securedragon.net/announcements.php?id=397 Sometimes the routing on the return trip is different from what you see checking test IP's, so its nice to be able to check it without having to buy a vps first to be able to see the routing.

    Looking for a Pandora alternative.

I tried Spotify once.  After installing and running, it proceeded to saturate my uplink.  Uninstalled.

    SecureDragon VPS 1+ Year Review

I’ve used SecureDragon for over a year now (since November 2012), and I wanted to give them credit for providing a great service. I’ve used many different services, and I think this is one of the best. SecureDragon became popular for providing small VPS’s with even less than 128MB RAM, and my...
