Secure Dragon's Wyvern gets its biggest update yet!

Wow... people seriously don't have anything better to do with their time? I can certainly understand why you didn't want to add a remove feature in that case, but I can't imagine it would be that hard to block that kind of scripting. Maybe you could require a CAPTCHA if requests are coming in at...

Secure Dragon's Wyvern gets its biggest update yet!

One nice feature would be the ability to remove IPv6 addresses from the server. Probably wouldn't see too much use, but it would be nice if you're seeing a lot of junk on one address to just kill it and switch to another (the joys of "unlimited" addresses).

    Managed cPanel VPS

While there's certainly something to be said for going it "alone" with cPanel, I expect to be out of the picture in a few months, so I don't want an e-mail landing in my inbox every time there's a new exploit. I want my client to feel perfectly comfortable sending an e-mail to the support dept...

    Managed cPanel VPS

One of the clients I work with is feeling some pinching on his current shared cPanel hosting account, and is ready to move up to a VPS. He wants cPanel, and he'll need management, so I'm wondering what y'all can tell me about managed cPanel VPS hosting. Providers, cost, caveats, etc. Not...

I finally decided to review my CCTV footage

I feel like Reddit's r/creepy (or the like) would be more interested than a forum about server hosting.

How's Your SSL Rate? Maybe Better Than Your Bank's

My main personal site has had SSL for a while, but I didn't push it because the theme I used loaded fonts from Google insecurely, and I didn't want to bother fixing it. But when I checked it with this tool, I found out the SSL was also iffy - a C. So I fixed the SSL issues, and then fixed the...

BuyVM announces Europe, Anycast IP's, Floating IP's, & Bandwidth pooling!

Well, I got a server in all three locations now. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this thread for anycast. Hey, just curious: any progress on the new website design? You really need to get the word out about the new location+anycast awesomeness (as well as BuyShared) and the new site would...

Computerphile Videos - Explaining Everything About Computers

Been subscribed from the beginning :) Computerphile is a "sister channel" to Numberphile, which discusses interesting individual numbers as well as number theory. Good stuff.

    Which nameservers do You use?

Of course, with Google's DNS, they employ anycast, so you automatically get the closest one, which is often no more than 5ms away. But some people don't like them for privacy reasons. For myself, I do tend to use them, if for no other reason than that they have very memorable IPs. A lot of VPSes...

TurnKey: $29/mo New York Colocation - Web & Office Servers - East coast SSAE-16 Datacenter

Just in case anyone was wondering, this is Albany, New York, not NYC. Network distance is 4.5 milliseconds or so. Good deal though. Do you guys do IPv6? Could I get my hands on, say, a /48 with this offer?

    Epidrive - From $6/Year - 80% OFF LTO - 3G RAM $5.95 - 0.50c IP - Free IPv6 - PHX, AZ

Yeah... sure. Might want to change that. Also, good luck with the Berry servers. When I purchased one, the IPv6 didn't work, and it took five days to get fixed. I understand: to some degree it's "you get what you pay for", but I paid for an IPv6 VPS, and I didn't get it until I made some noise...

    512GB Samsung 840 Pros

Good question @zzrok - the 512GB Samsung 840 Pro is $260 on Newegg right now with a promo code. These better be new, or at least just open-box.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday isn't too far away. Who had the best deals last year?

Yeah I know that, but I don't know what their process is.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday isn't too far away. Who had the best deals last year?

I only really subscribe to Newegg's deals, but they do have some good ones. I've seen some $50 1TB HDDs, SSDs are down below the 50 cent per GB mark, and other hardware is getting good too. Also, if you still have a .edu e-mail from somewhere, you might be able to get in on an extra 10% academic...

The Namecheap e-mail pointed to an article on their site which pointed to this site (link for vpsBoard): https://shaaaaaaaaaaaaa.com/check/vpsboard.com And the nitty-gritty: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=vpsboard.com I think we're good.
