The only engineer in a business meeting..

I really don't understand situations like these. Why not just stand up for yourself and tell them how things are done and why instead of being buttraped into doing shit with unrealistic timeframes/resources. You got hired by them because you know the stuff that they don't, so go show them.

    Virtualizor?

Tried it for personal use years and years ago, it was alright for what it is (it was free back then, i think, that or dirt-cheap). Haven't bothered with it as I stick to Proxmox or VMware for my stuff nowdays.

    FreeNAS

Haven't used freenas in years and years, i just remember the whole shitstorm that came down when some asshat decided to fork it and use Debian as a base instead. Assuming it's still based on FreeBSD with ZFS it should be pretty straight-forward, go use it!

Fitbit Recalls Force Wristband Due to Risk of Skin Irritation

Fair enough. Still doesn't really seem all that useful to me, if you are a pro athlete I'm sure there are better alternatives?

    RansomIT KVM 256 MB (Australia)

I can only chime in here. I have had a yearly plan with them that is due to expire this month, the service has been fantastic and uptime is incredible for the price. I would highly recommend RansomIT for anyone looking for stuff in Aus!

    ServerCrate compromised

I doubt he'd do it just for the PR. He's discontinuing the VPS-branch/services very soon as far as i know. This would also explain the lack of advertising.

Kodo Technologies announces HostGuard VPS Control Panel

Fair enough. How about integrating a rbl-checker for whole ranges? That'd be handy.

Uroburos rootkit undiscovered for three years

Interesting indeed. I read the paper but i wanted some more gory-techdetails instead of what was given. I'm pretty sure there's plenty of similar malware around seeing as the Internet is the new frontier.

Help me build a personal virtbox/playground

I suppose that's a good deal then, roughly 5000 SEK get's me either an E3 or an i5 with 2x120GB EVO's Yeah, i have an E3 as a desktop - Not sure i'd really need that for my personal virt-stuff, unless they go down in price (They are more or less the same price as a mid/high-end i5 atm tho)
