    Local/in-house virtual servers.

    At work we use virtualbox and bridges all VM to LAN. Never had problem with this setup for nearly 2 years. Guest OS : Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 (I hate Windows, but can't live without it :) for testing purpose ) , Debian 7 and CentOS 7.

    @bizzard why in the first place you need to remember opennic IP ? write them somewhere :D I use my own dns and really easy to remember 127.0.0.1

    How do you prevent server from DDoS

    since DDOS from outside network you fail2ban, ddos deflate or anything else won't work. Setup your own firewall hardware and upgrade to bigger network upstream.
