It works by starting OpenVPN with startup parameters (openvpn.exe --parameters here) and supports multiple VPN servers (not in an efficient way).
Sylpheed, Thunderbird, and geary use similiar amount of memory for multiple account.

At work we use virtualbox and bridges all VM to LAN.

since DDOS from outside network you fail2ban, ddos deflate or anything else won't work. Setup your own firewall hardware and upgrade to bigger network upstream.
