Need 4GB+ US VPS/Dedicated, bringing own Windows License

Hello, I am looking for a US-based VPS. I am planning to bring my own Windows license to the server, so if that is not possible then it won't work for me. Here are the specs I need: RAM: at least 4GB (5-6GB DEFINITELY preferred) Disk: at least 50GB Network: at least 100Mbit burstable IPs: 1 (2...

    Need USA 4GB RAM VPS

I am interested in this -- would it be possible to bump the RAM up to 5-6GB?  If so, how much extra? I am willing to go lower on the diskspace to cut costs if needed.  If you could do $20/mo for 6GB, I'd probably jump on that quickly.

Running a FreeBSD server with jails

Thanks so much for this great tutorial.  I used to admin FreeBSD back in the 4.x days and haven't touched it since 5.x -- this gave me a little something to play with to get familiar with it again.  Quite a few things have changed... mostly for the better!

"Overprovisioned" dedicated server -- what to do?

I recently ordered a dedicated server from a provider and it was advertised at 16GB RAM.  When the server was deployed I was overjoyed to see it actually had 24GB RAM as I had planned to upgrade it further down the line when I had more money to pump into it. My question is, do I stay honest and...

Free Domain .nu for 1 Year

I don't see Advanced Settings in my panel.  I guess it's because they need to enable that manually.  I've submitted a ticket for it, I'll see what they say, thanks for the heads up.  The domain would be pretty useless if I can't set my own NS.

Alpine Linux: an OS designed specifically for LEBs

I use Alpine a lot, it's very quick to set up and very minimal -- leaves a small footprint.  I like the fact that it is so stripped-down and I can just build whatever I need on top of it.  It's so lightweight, I sometimes set up a separate VM for each service I have (FTP, Mail, HTTP, etc).
