Considering the recent issues at LET/B, where can I find your disclosures of business relationships?

@HalfEatenPie, are you an admin or mod? You show up on the forum team page but your usergroup is set to "Verified Provider". Just curious. :)

    RamNode OpenVZ SSD-Cached 256MB (ATL)

<3 RamNode! I have a VPS that I don't use but I know if I ever cancel it I'll need it so I keep it around just in case. :)

Considering the recent issues at LET/B, where can I find your disclosures of business relationships?

Honestly, this website has to be hosted somewhere, if not BuyVM then another VPS company. Even if he colocated a server it would be hosted in a datacenter that most likely sells servers and/or VPSs. The primary goal for any admin is to not go bankrupt so cutting costs by purchasing from an LEB...

Considering the recent issues at LET/B, where can I find your disclosures of business relationships?

I personally hate the fact that the LEB/LET fiasco is bleeding into vpsBoard. I vote for 1 thread about LEB/LET/CC/ChicagoVPS/Joel/Chief/Dinosaurs and let the rest of the threads (like this one) stay on topic.  B)

I would love to see something like this on an "About Us" page somewhere, just my 2 cents.

Quick and dirty webserver monitoring script.

Thanks, I should have been more clear in my original post but I was a bit tired. I'll append your post to mine for clarity. :)

Quick and dirty webserver monitoring script.

Here's a simple little script I use on my webservers, very helpful to get your website back online when you're not around. http=$(curl --write-out %{http_code} --silent --output /dev/null http://localhost) if [ $http -ne 200 ] ; then echo "nginx is down at `date`" >>...

How would you setup these drives?

So I am building a Proxmox server for my own personal use. I will be hosting about a dozen VPSs with some being used daily while others will be running in the background processing data. At the time I purchased the server, I had planned on installing ESXi and syncing it with my other ESXi server...

Yet again.. another WHMCS advisory is out.

I would much rather have a new patch every other week than a price increase every month. ;)

    Dow 15000 S&P 1600 highs

+1 to what mitgib said. I know people at my work who don't invest anything in their 401k, which is FREE MONEY. Compared to other companies, it's not much ($1750/year) but in the 6 years I've worked there my 401k is more than 4 times what I put into it and is almost as much as I owe on my house...

    Anyone using FraudRecord?

FraudRecord is an awesome tool... TOOL. It's not the end all to fraud, but it is still extremely useful. We've been using it for a while and use it as a guide, not as gospel. There are certain providers we will hold their reports in higher regard based on previous reports, company reputation (in...

    Dow 15000 S&P 1600 highs

I didn't even have a savings account until I got a very sizable check from work to move out to Colorado, now I actually have a saving account that I put money into. One day when I collect a check from Secure Dragon I'll be able to deposit it in there. :)

    Dow 15000 S&P 1600 highs

I just got my retirement account statement in the mail today and I'm extremely happy with it. Right now I only put the minimum in my 401k for my company match, but I have a house in Florida that will be paid off before I turn 65 so that will be my safety net if my retirement accounts disappear...

    Secure Dragon emergency reboot?

To be honest, RamNode's e-mail is how I found out about the OpenVZ kernel update. Prior to that, I had been waiting for the kernel update which is why there was a delay in getting it patched. As others have said, I would have preferred to schedule this in advance but with the severity of the...
