Its really safe where he has his nodes, they're hosted in Troy, MI, so its far enough away from the really ghetto areas to be safe while still being a metro Detroit location.

I agree with you about utilizing a newer product in a production environment but I am also excited for some of these panels since a handful of them will be open source and ready for modification.

I know http://anynode.net has their own panel, and their nodes are in Chicago. The only issue you might have with them is their bandwidth but I'm sure they'll let you upgrade.
