    EU Shared host

Why so cheap? I mean money obviously matters, but does say $10 for the year matter the difference over $2?

Dedicated Server in the USA (West coast preferred, but not required)

Not going to get close on any reputable provider or else massively oversold on bandwidth which would be a problem if you use it (probably don't?)

Your biggest pain as a provider

SolusVM module and people putting in stupid passwords like "n46t#@$N^#N$^N#$^N#^NYN#$^NSDNGF$YN435ny543nyi3nyi3n4yin34y3i4g43g#$G$#NGN$#GN#$ng3i4gndsGNI$Gn43$%$#^#&^@^N6nngin43g3$^#$^%$#" and then complaining when the VPS doesn't work (doesn't get an IP, and some other misc problems). :(

I Have a Business Idea for a New Type of VPS...But No Cash.

Very interesting idea, but as others pointed out, there are already ample solutions for the people that need such a thing, including plain KVM.

any provider sell 4 gb ram for $7?

Nasty race to the bottom. Not bad from promo perspectives, and certainly if you're targetting the $7/mo market who don't actually care what they get as they only use like 300MB ram, then someone sellgin 4GB will win over 2/3, but...

    VPS Business Idea

You can pretty much already do this with AWS you know, not on an IP basis, but with Route53. And I can't really see any need for set IP, except maybe DNS caching. Interesting idea though!

    Tips for an Upcoming Provider

Older hardware isn't a problem in terms of performance, even something as old as say an X3440 will be more than enough CPU for 4 disks 32GB and 50-100 VPS depending on size. Obviously if you have 10 people transcoding the CPU will be maxed, but that will happen even with a brand new 1270, or...

    Control Panels

cPanel is pretty universal, but personally I prefer webmin packages. It doesn't root itself into the server/vps, and you can also manage some things manualy (SSH) if you want to.

    WHMCS Support

I get my licence through vps.net so they must have their own support, as it is quite a lot quicker than when I had it direct.

    How do you "filter" orders?

MaxMind seems to work well enough, some still get through but not a significant amount.

    How you handle DDOS Customer

The bigger problem is spammers, and twitchy networks who null/pull the power from your server... :P Maybe I should make a new thread, but how do people handle outbound spam? I've tried blocking IP and allow only the ones that ask (maybe even better is to route through my own MTA?), but SolusVM...

NAT will be a pain if you use Solus, at least from my research.

They shouldn't have done that, definitely agree, but OTOH you over reacted as well...

What skills do you look for in your employees?

That is actually a common story, not sure if it was truly IBM or not, but its classic nevertheless :D
