@Abdussamad, I started working in the IT (or more simply with "computers")  in the mid '80, I didn't grow with internet and most of my business relations in Italy were / are "offline".The vps market is a way to differentiate our business and I want to keep them separate if possible.  :)

  This is very common indeed. Why on eart you should use a physical server for testing/developing? Common alternative to kvm is vmware when available :)

Thanks,  I saw this before, but it doesn't include php if I remember well and it would be nice if someone can share a real experience with apache 2.4 with php in a production environment :)

Anybody is running apache 2.4 with php for mid sized sites? How it compare with 2.2?

We went out of the .it registration business a few years ago (when the .it NIC moved to the new registrar model) so my information may not be so accurate, but you need to be in the EU to register an .it domain or as pointed out you need some proxy service...

I think that you need to start with some valued service such as specialized/managed hosting. Focus on some software / platform and offer services and help on those. With vps unmanaged prices going low and low you need thousands of sales, which in turn require investments. Take your time :)
