There is one sure fire way to fix stupid. Works every time and would stop a lot of shit right off the bat. A bullet to the head works like a charm cures a lot of people's problems and then there might not be so damned many arguments and shit.

Just use Kvirc on my home laptop. Never gave much more thought to it. Then again I am not on IRC all that much, never have anything to say.

You could give FlatPress a try. http://flatpress.org/home/ I tried it awhile ago and it was not to bad. Works a bit like WordPress and you are supposed to be able to port the themes pretty easily I guess. I never went that far with it. Everything is text files so loading should be quick though.

That is insanity of the highest order. I know of a lot bigger sites that do not use anything close to that and have nothing near the problems. Such a waste of money and resources for both sites, that it is shameful.

If they are paying that kind of money to host that site and it is not staying up then they need to rethink their strategy a bit. I don't like calling people morons but a couple of monkeys with tin cans and strings may have better uptime then that site as of late.
