your vps will need it's own ip,
you can setup a nat, or a dedicated ip,
for nat, you should follow this guide: https://openvz.org/Using_NAT_for_container_with_private_IPs
i like Nodewatch
it's for OpenVZ VPS that makes VPS hosting business a much safer one.
It works with many control panel: SolusVM, Parallels, KiwiVM, vePortal (or no panel at all).
look here: http://vpsantiabuse.com/
nodewatch is free !
raid 1 will slow down your ssd,
i will go with minimum 4x ssd.
if for example you will need 256GB space - it be much better (and probably cost less) to have 4x 128GB on Raid 10.
it will be very fast, and you will get the same disk space.
virtualizor now support kvm and openvz in the same node - so you can run them both together !.
see here: http://www.virtualizor.com/blog/?m=201504
you can run windows under kvm.
virtualizor has a free module for whmcs.
also proxmox control panel support this.
you can user...

also you can modify /etc/ssh/sshd_config file

Use a Non-Standard Port: Port 2345
first of - you will need to find dedicated server provider - and it's all about reading reviews.
you can play with vps before you move to dedicated server and learn.
dedicated server is only needed if you will need lot's of hardware resources (network/disk/memory/cpu) - if not it's best and...
ovh enterprise protection is all about they will know it.
i think ovh basic ddos protection is ok - but if he offer a ddos protection - this will attracted many ddos attacks, he will need much more then that.
clouds for me is more like high availability in case that hardware failed, but the problem that you can't check it.
everyone can sale vps and call it cloud.
windows xp not support anymore, so there lots of security risks with this,

Hi VPS Users,
What vps control panel would you prefer, how important it to you ?
i know that everybody like SolusVM control panel,
would you order vps without solusvm control panel ?
Buffalo is popular with dedicated server providers because it's near new york and it's cheap,
but the truth that buffalo don't have so much good connection to new york.
new york is the best location, but it's very expensive.
Most Providers keeping ip's even if they don't need them because they know that ip's in running out,
many provider also lease there it's - so they get paid for that.
so you know the truth way ip's is running out
there is a dedicated server providers that do SWIP to all their customers without even asking for,
provider that do that has i know: reliablesite.net & dacentec.com
