I have been enjoying git web hooks and a pull .php file to update directories dynamically. It can go so far as if you push to a development branch it will update the development server and production would be the production server.

If you happen to be connecting with a Windows machine you can do it with putty, I don't actually have instructions on that though. Another option for Windows connecting to linux would be xRDP.

Linode charges $100/month for management, DigitalOcean does not offer it. cPanel licenses go for about $14/Month. Which is included with these.

I actually use RoyalTS as my SSH client, it was a continuation of the original mRemote, its got a few cool features such as session recording and playback and encryption of all the stored credentials and connection info. One thing its missing though is SCP. But Filezilla handles that just fine...

I'm not particularly sure how this thread helps because they will know what processes are being looked for, I've been seeing some clever renaming of scripts to hide undetected...

Never heard of Open Arena, will have to give that a look - The bad thing about Minecraft is the usual trolls and such unfortunately, but its a game that's casual enough to hang out in as a community which is nice. I recall that Catalyst has a MC server that a few guys hung out on. 

The internet wrong? Always be careful blindly copying/pasting/typing - some people abuse that and hide malware in long commands :)
