    HostingCon 2015?

@ItsChrisG Now I really want to go, so I can dump a few bottles of beer over your head for being a total asshole with my Slicebox migration.  BTW, the most horribly handled migration in my career in this industry was dealing with Fevvo, you and your method of purchasing customers and then...

    HostingCon 2015?

If someone wants to pay the plane fair I am happy to attend :D I spent my available budget on WHD USA this year, so unless something crazy happens and someone wants to pay for me to fly to the west coast, I am not sure it is doable for me. San Diego is nice this time of the year though.  Makes...

    Barracuda

You need to call them like @tonyg said.   It is possible if you are using IP which you do not directly own or are rented from the DC in some cases they will not deal directly with you, especially if the network houses a lot of offenders, they will want to deal with the owner of the ip...

Meet the new NEC DX1000, up to 46 servers in a 2U Chasis!

One of the other things I thought about when looking at this was the fact that you don't HAVE to use all of them for cloud, potentially you could use just as many as you need and sell the other modules as dedicated servers.  Also, the network fabric on these is nice, the ability to provide 2 x...

Meet the new NEC DX1000, up to 46 servers in a 2U Chasis!

Well, I figure most doing initial investment in this would likely only purchase the original 16 servers and then upgrade as needed.  This means that the other 26 slots can be used for up to 1TB 2.5" drives. So there is the ability to get a fair amount of storage, but yeah, if you filled the...

Meet the new NEC DX1000, up to 46 servers in a 2U Chasis!

Hello all! I do not post very often, but I thought this was worth sharing! Not sure how many of you got the opportunity to visit the WorldHostingDays USA Convention this week, but it was a blast! While at the show there were many vendors, but one that stood out and caught my attention was...

    What domain registrar you use

@jclutter Why are you going around the forum and necroing old threads?  I mean do you have anything to contribute or are you just trying to get your post count up here? Cheers!

ARIN IP Space For Lease (From $0.16 per IP)

@Awmusic12635 I personally didn't have an issue with the time you posted in, it just seems this is identical to the other thread and it would have made more sense just to bump it instead of opening another.  No hard feelings or anything. Cheers!

@HalfEatenPie @MannDude can this be merged with  see no reason for multiple posts on the same thing? Cheers!

What are some of the best VPS companies?

Not sure why you think you are to be granted rights here that @VPS4LESS is not?  Did you not read through the thread and see that he was already moderated for doing the same thing?  So what makes you so special, other than your 'I will do whatever I want' attitude?  Cheers!

What are some of the best VPS companies?

Seriously @gordonrp, after someone else was already warned about advertising their own company here?  Just curious why you would do that, I though you were better than that? Maybe you thought you were funny, but I didn't see anyone laughing when @VPS4LESS did it earlier in this thread.   Cheers!

    So, let's clear the air...

Let me put it this way, if all of that were true, then why do you keep opening up these stupid FUD threads?  Gee, I wonder. Try and run from the truth all you want, or cover it up with half truths to make your self feel better, but I read your comment before about it just being about money, and...

    So, let's clear the air...

Here is how I see this whole cluster fuck: 1. Jonny realizes that he is in over his head and can't afford to pay past debt.  He has two choices, close down and let GVH burn as everyone tells him 'told you so' as we all knew the company wasn't sustainable, or he can start contacting people and...

SSD Hard Drives Going Read Only

Could also be a bad SATA controller as well.  If you are sure its the drives I would reach out to the manufacturer and see if they are aware of any similar issues and see if the drive is still in warranty.  If it is and you can confirm there isn't an issue with the SATA controller, I would...

Acceptable time to wait for ticket response?

While not directly related to the question at hand I just wanted to include in here for reference.  While the question here allows a bit more extrapolation on individual expectations, I just wanted to point out there was some very good discussion in this thread about this and other...

    QuickPacket Aquires Slicebox

Is Quickpacket acquiring all of Sliceboxes assets or only the ones in LA?  I know they have servers in LV and I am assuming they are unaffected by this? Cheers!

    Review - AnyNode OpenVZ 1GB

Yes, my servers down and it looks like their website and billing portal as well. Looks like the network is nulled or something as a traceroute doesn't get past the border router. Hopefully they fix soon.  First downtime I have seen in 6+ months. Cheers!
