I would find this interesting too... Then have it "phone home" to report info on the attacker. For some reason being with Colocrossing makes me feel like I get quite a few more SSH attacks than usual. Not sure if thats the case, I figure they would have a rather filled IP space.

I recently got around to setting up "Logwatch" on a few of my servers, and I found it interesting to see how many times a day our servers get attempted SSH authentication. The usernames seem to be quite random, though the IP addresses used are 90% of the time from China. This got me thinking...

Desktop: Windows 7 Pro for online courses / gaming / general software. Servers: Cent-OS instead of Debian because I was given a few free Fedora/Cent-OS books a few years back.

Anyone with experience with colocating/hosting in houston with hurricanes? I imagine that would be a possible issue.

Been doing some work with LFTP, works really well, takes about 60 seconds to download 2,200 files at 1gb total. lftp -u username hostname password mirror -P 20 -v /source /destination/on/local/ Couple commands I use to duplicate minecraft servers between eachother, works for making backups...

OVH is probably one of the cheapest dedicated providers, you may be well off getting your own panel and just installing it on the baremetal hardware. Maybe Proxmox would suffice for your usage as a panel.

I would think this would work, but if you think about it several providers had problems with the SolusVM issues. If you just happened to be unlucky you could loose both pieces of each HA area. Also, having a high priced host doesn't make a user exempt from these issues, Zero-Day exploits are...

Can't wait for that! Would be nice to test different versions of distros without having to open a ticket for every small thing.

Just think about what happens if this type of design takes off, especially in contrast to the extremely sharp lines of the Xbox and PS4.  Who knows, could be a shift in the aesthetics of computing from boxes to cylinders.

Doesn't Win-SCP allow tunnels between 2 servers for transfer between said servers while being controlled from a windows client.
