I suppose so, in terms of javscript. As for their Anti-Spam process, I saw [1] they now support Akismet through a plugin, not sure about other measures they have in place. I just run two very small boards, so I am yet to have issues with spam :) I like using Discourse, it makes for a nice user...

Any chances of changing the behavior of the "Recent Comments" frame? Displaying the same topic in every spot does show people commented there last, but I think it would be really more valuable to see the last topics people have commented on. 

How about Go? Or the more popular Python or Ruby?

API would be great indeed, to complement this simple and nice panel. I wrote a silly script [1] to get the BW stats, although it's so slow it's likely @KuJoe has already provided a proper way to get this info before it finishes running :)...
