Do you accept Bitcoins as a payment method? Why? Why not? (Plus other questions)

Very short sighted hosterno. We have proven, time and time again in this thread, that there is no hassle by using a payment gateway such at BitPay. You pay less in transaction fees, and you still get $$$. You don't even have to monitor Bitcoin price, or exchange it. Around 15 minutes of work to...

Do you accept Bitcoins as a payment method? Why? Why not? (Plus other questions)

So much misinformation in here. MtGox has absolutely nothing to do with accepting bitcoin as a payment. It may affect the price stability, but it will not impact the fact that you can get paid in bitcoins. Also, you don't have to monitor the price, like BeastVM_Aaron said. BitPay or CoinBase...

    Burst.net emergency bailout of Dallas

Not gonna lie. I'm happy to see a thread about a shitty DC/provider, when that isn't CC. Not that I'd wish anyone loses business or sites. But, a non-CC drama thread is a nice change around here.

Do you accept Bitcoins as a payment method? Why? Why not? (Plus other questions)

Bitcoin is a great payment option. If you don't want to deal with bitcoins themselves, use bitpay.com as others hav ementioned. They accept bitcoin, and give you cash so you don't have to deal with it. Refunds are handled a few ways, if you accept bitcoin manually 1 - No refunds 2 - Store...

BTC, NMC, IXC, DVC - Opinions

Completely wrong. There will always be copy cats, some even verbatim. Feathercoin is literally a clone of Litecoin. Early versions of Feathercoin code still called functions with Litecoin in the name and comments. Just because some 15 year old kid copies source code and makes another altcoin...

BTC, NMC, IXC, DVC - Opinions

Yes, that's what I was saying. Using your graphics card for mining coins will, probably, not even pay for the electricity you use for the video card. I won't tell someone their setup isn't profitable, Maybe he gets free electricity. But that's upto him to see if it breaks even or not. Butterfly...

BTC, NMC, IXC, DVC - Opinions

If you only have 100GHz and you're running it on your video card, you may or may not break even on profit. But, that's up to you to decide. BTC, Bitcoin, is here to stay. It's fluctuating a lot since it's new, and I embrace it. NMC, Namecoin, is niche. Unless a large DNS ban/block/hijack...

BitCoins for dummies. How to get started with them?

0.02 Bitcoin. Or roughly $8 at the current exchange rate. Those specialized hardware pieces, or ASIC, do cover the cost of electricity. They probably won't make an overall profit. Considering youcan pay 10 bitcoin for a device, you won't see 10 bitcoin in the long run from mining. Even the USB...

    CloudAtCost.com

http://www.cloudatcost.com/ For the $35 server, you get a CentOS, Debian, or Ubuntu server with: 1 Xeon vCPU, 1 Public IP, 512MB RAM, 10GB SSD, 100Mbit Internet with 500GB of monthly transfer. I saw this on SlickDeals and just wondering if anyone's heard of them at all. I have no intention of...

Google Checkout ends November 20, 2013.

True, but along with it comes a new API, new fields, new URL. I've already integrated Google Checkout into my site, and now I have to change it all to Google Wallet. That's about the same amount of work for me, as plugging in a new payment gateway. So I consider it a new product.
