What internet jobs are worth pursing?

If you have to compromise and traveling often is more important than having an internet job, you could always work for an airline. Great traveling perks although the pay's not so great.

Bitcoin: Buy for $300 at MtGox, sell at Bter for $600?

Wow, Continuumcoin is on FIRE, according to CoinWarz. Mining straight BTC seems to be out of the picture, but is mining an sha256 altcoin, especially when new, then converting to BTC profitable? Say, with a 50GH/s rig? Just looking at the CoinWarz figures for Opensourcecoin/eMark/Freicoin, it...

Bitcoin: Buy for $300 at MtGox, sell at Bter for $600?

Looks like giving MtGox any money isn't a good idea atm.

Bitcoin: Buy for $300 at MtGox, sell at Bter for $600?

So if I'm understanding correctly, there's a temporary price deflation at MtGox due to their ongoing withdrawal restriction? Does that mean actual BTC value is more like $600 as found in Bter and BTC-e? It's a good time to buy at MtGox and hold, but I wouldn't be able to transfer that...

Bitcoin: Buy for $300 at MtGox, sell at Bter for $600?

I'm finally looking into cryptocurrencies, and realizing more and more that mining's not going to be profitable on most machines. Trading, though, looks very viable given Bitcoin's crazy volatility. But one thing I noticed on Bter.com is that you can trade out 1 BTC for ~CNY3800 ($600+), while...

Do's and dont's for long time sitting?

Agree with raindog, get a checkup ASAP. Headaches aside, your spine and eye health are integral for everything from working to studying to being able to tell hot chicks from not-so-hot chicks. Lots of stuff can go wrong with your spine when you're abusing it. People haven't been sitting on...

    Damn... SquareTrade fine print

Minor rant / talking to myself coming up.  :) I love the idea of SquareTrade -- get a much better warranty than what the product manufacturer offers, and for cheap, too, if we're talking about a new product. I've got a few products under their warranty, but just recently needed to use one for...

    Failure rate on harddrives

Funny, my 2TB Seagate drive at home started dying last week, and it's only 7 months old. It's still dying, and I'm using CentOS LiveDVD on that computer now. Way to go, Seagate! I'll call you Maxtor from now on.

GreenValueHost outsources customer support to India.

TL;DR some posts so sorry if I'm talking through my bee-hind. I just saw this and since outsourcing is the topic, I wanted to note that outsourcing is different from normal hiring. The Indian company would be a service company and the webhost would be a purchaser of said services. You're not...

    Poor experience with ServerHub

Wow, I'm surprised ServerHub's that bad, as their emails sound pretty professional. Glad to know beforehand that I should stay far away from the place.
