Can I modify the fstab file on a VPS server?

I have a slightly unusual hosting requirement, in that I want to make changes to /etc/fstab.

Specifically, I want to modify the size of tmpfs and the number of inodes allocated to it.

I don't know exactly how VPS servers go about sharing resources.
Can anyone please tell me if such modifications are possible in a VPS environment?

The fstab file has already modified by the technical team so it's better not to modify the fstab file in you vps. It may cause unnecessary errors to your server.
