I came across this traceroute tool today, and I think it is pretty cool and awesome how it is done:

You can zoom in and yep, its pretty cool.

Really interesting but I still cant figure out how to zoom. Zooming in with the browser just makes it blury. I wish it was an SVG....

Rolling your mouse wheel zooms it in

Laptops have had simulated scrollwheels for a long time. Try sliding a finger up and down the far right side of your touchpad, or sliding two fingers up and down at once in the middle.

I will have to try it on my desktop  I was using a mouse   and touch pad on a laptop and still blurry

Try to use

"Ctrl" + "+" --> to zoom in

"Ctrl" + "-" --> to zoom out

Wow, that tool is a great find. I'll definitely be adding this to my toolbox of network diagnostic utilities.

When the traceroutes converge though -- I'm wondering which ping time they choose to display...
