Hey everyone. Need some help on this issue.

CF as we all know does not protect e-mail IPs and exposes them, and this week our server has been getting dDoS'd down due to that IP always being listed and exposing the main server. Due to attack size and the disruptions we are getting, is there a way to use a 3rd party e-mail system with WHMCS?

Thanks.

Have you looked at Google Mail? you may have to pay but its worth it.
Doing some research on it now. I have heard about Google serives being used and it being very worth while.

Do you need to both send and recieve mails? Or is this just transactional use? I have had luck with Sendgrid and Amazon SES for sending out transactional email, since we have a separate helpdesk for incoming/outgoing queries.

ShoveHost Email Hosting would be a good choice. It's not on our new site yet but if you contact our sales department at [email protected] we can help you get set up. It starts at $2/month per 25GB mailbox, but it gets cheaper as you order more.

How big of a dDoS can you take? Just so you know, I need a serious service. This is a targetted attack aimed at me/my business to disrupt everyhing. They are hitting anything and everything that they can take down.

Ideally, send and recieve.

Our Email Hosting is on Rackspace infrastructure, so you can trust it is good. I do not think the attackers will be able to disrupt your company any longer. Ever since about a year ago when we started doing the Email Hosting we have had 100% uptime on that (I monitor it). It is perfectly functional with WHMCS both on send/receive I know from experience because it's what I use for our WHMCS.

One gotcha is Rackspace's email package is limited to 250 emails per day.  Quite a low limit in my opinion.   They do have Mailgun now acquired by Rackspace and something like 50k emails broadcast a month free according to online support folks.

Mandrill looks good and pricing low enough...  But purely for sending emails.

Me, I'd be considering splitting email up if the volume is high enough --- one provider for sending and other for incoming.

Um... it's 250 outgoing/hour per account for our reseller account, and it can be increased easily by our support. That's why we're a good option.  :)
