I do not have a FlipHost VPS yet, but I am using their offsite MySQL package.
1$ a month for a MySQL database service is a fair amount. Currently my own nodestatus/ip scripts, my twitter archive, two wordpress blogs and four cms sites are using this database out of 4 locations.
Network:
No tickets, no issues.
Overall experience:
I am a very happy customer. The cPanel is fine. I can select single IP addresses which do have access to the database. MySql dump is fast too. Execution time and transfer rate are perfect too.
And if you look to the ping times the network connection of this service is out of question.
