Free monitoring services/scripts?

Are there any good free monitoring services or scripts out there I could use to create a public status page? I've got many VPSs currently and something like this would be great for monitoring uptime.

We use Observium. However, they recently went paid and their dev team and lack of a community makes support and growth not the best ideal solution but it's nice and works since you can also integrate in with munin and collectd.

To check website uptimes you can use Uptime Robot, it is free and it is very good.
