MX Hosts - Which IP

Hey all,

Can I have 2 MX hosts with just one IP or could I do 1 IPv4 and 1 IPv6?  I have a kimsufi server and want to host my own emails.

You can have 2 with one ip but what would be the point? one each of ipv4 and ipv6 are also legit, but if also pointing to the same location it doesn't seem particularly useful (give the ipv4 and ipv6 address both to 1st/only mx entry).

The point of having multiple mail exchange "hosts" is availability, so if they're the same box..

There's nothing invalid about 1 MX host with 1 IP.
