Trying to work as best as I can with clients, so if you want a refund as Jacksonville is not a viable alternative please do open a ticket. Multiple reasons for dropping LA, one of which is their refusal to route IP's for us, and the fact that we just don't have profit margins that make sense on rented gear.

All of our gear in jacksonville is owned and colocated, so our profit margins are a lot better there. Not to mention the fact that we are on our own IP space, rather than paying $0.50 per IP for the IP space we have.

Los Angeles is something I will likely re-visit via Colocation in the near future (few months) but for the scale it is at, it just isn't worth it at this time.

Why the expansion to begin with? From what I can see, you have only been offering service from LA for a little over a month. Did you not really look at all the costs before you decided to make the jump to offering services there? Just curious.

Long story short some deals had been made and a few other things laid out in terms of a proper expansion to LA that just didn't end up panning out. CC Sales saying one thing then support doing another is also a factor, but we won't get into details.

Poor contingency planning on my part really, but as of now we just can't get owned gear out to LA at a capacity that makes much sense without slowing our capacity expansions with Jacksonville.

I intend to re-visit Los Angeles expansion in the near future but not with ColoCrossing and not on rented gear. Financing the expansion is what it will come down to. At present the majority of capital is being focused in Jacksonville as it's working really well for Crissic at the moment.
