Regarding Samsungs "EVO" drives

Hey guys,

So currently Im using a Samsung 840 PRO 120gb as a main drive for windows, and a normal 7200 1TB drive for storage and programs.
But Im looking into running only SSD drives (removing the 1 TB drive).

As I have been very happy with the performance of my PRO drive, I would like to buy something similar or faster (and still reliable!), but every samsung drive I find, is now a "EVO" - how does that compare to the older 840 PRO?

Or can you guys recommond something else?

Also, what Cloning programs can you recommend?

Thanks!

As far as I know, EVO uses TLC cells instead of MLC used by the Pro.  TLC is cheaper and has less write endurance but in a desktop environment I don't think you'll need to worry about write endurance and I don't think you'll notice a difference in speed.
