Do you offer 24x7 support? We're not staffed 24x7, but to get an idea of our average response times on tickets you can just take a peek at the top of any page in the client area to see the average of our last 10 tickets. We try to keep it under 1 hour and that tracker rarely goes past that goal.

This just makes me laugh a little bit (no offense to anyone) but I just assumed most of the time people use Qudranet for Los Angeles and Colo@ for Dallas.  Just found that humorous :)

We tried to use COLO@ in Dallas but they shipped the server back and it was right when they migrated our New Jersey server to another data center without telling us so we went with QuadraNet instead. We bought a server with QuadraNet in LA last month but their network can't compete with COLO@ so we canceled the server.

I read that their network has gotten better but COLO@ has been extremely stable so we're sticking with them for now. We were only considering switching because of QuadraNet's Asia Optimized network and to reduce our dependency with COLO@ so we're more diverse.

A popular host in here that I know has just a $3 per month addon for ddos protection. Why does it seem like your ddos vps is expensive?

It's mostly to keep the kids away. We kept having to raise our prices for DDOS protection because of the constant abuse and we finally found a price point where we don't get hit with chargebacks any more and people stop mentioning us on various forums that bring us bad clients and downtime.

Additionally our protection is different than the $3 per month addons that some providers offer. We colocate our servers inside a DDOS protected data center so the protection is on network and not tunneled like other providers so there's no added latency. We also pay a lot more (over 3x more) for bandwidth and colocation costs for our DDOS protected servers than we do any other location so that's a factor also.
