Site doesn't work anymore

Hi,


I have a vps with magento installed on it, but yesterday I tried rebooting the vps and since then my site isn't accessible. It just shows the Apache 2 Ubuntu default page. How do I fix this?

How do I fix this?

Run the following command:


shutdown -h +0

By doing so, you'll no longer see that ugly Apache 2 Ubuntu default page.

Ok, thanks. Its working now, but I do have to add index.php to the url, otherwise it still shows the ubuntu default page. Do you know how to fix that?

Is there an index.html file in the same directory? If so delete it.

Check the apache config (virtualhosts if you use them) and change index.php to be the first file to try if no file is specified.

Get a managed vps provider, problem solved

In my opinion unless this is just for testing, you are not ready.

Maybe your apache vhosts for the domain is non existent. check apache config file for the domain virtual host settings. More than likely its not there anymore. You need to use a control panel like Webmin to handle this easier.
