Study on failure rates of SSDs

One finding was that SSDs do not fail at a steady rate over their life, instead having periods of higher and lower failures.
SSD is the future no matter what are its failing rates over the period of life. I still remember when Macbook Air was launched and it was significantlly marketed that they had SSDs which last 50 years. I still use a conventional magnetic disk hard but when ever i'm going to upgrade it will certainly be SSD.

I have to agree that SSD's are the main stream for the future. We've been running mostly SSD's since 2011 without any issues as of yet knock on wood...

It's great seeing the price coming down and I believe in the next year or two we will see almost everything using them. We found a lot of cutsomers who wanted performance switch from HDD's over to SSD's.

I run SSDs on my workstation and on servers.  Obviously prefer them.  Haven't had one fail.  Only downside thus far is the higher cost and some oddness with the tech in earlier earlier years.
