Teaching Encryption Soon to Be Illegal in Australia?

The way I understand it is it just makes it illegal for someone residing in Australia to teach (export) encryption to someone outside of Australia. It's pretty typical for our laws, especially technology related ones, to not be defined adequately.

It's not that big of deal, haven't actually seen anything about it here in the news. Only on sites like you posted above that like to make a fuss about things that won't actually matter.

Ahh regulating education of a topic is sort of funny.

The US for instance lets foreign students into privileged laboratories and installations.  Has for decades and created an 'illegal' siphon of how-to, concepts, knowledge, etc.

Export controls are needed and should be tight.
